Volume 2 Chapter 91: Monster Planet (Part 3)
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
. . .
This was already the tenth wave.
The massive steel gate was battered and dented all over. Since the third wave, the unknown creatures outside had been ramming into it with increasing frequency.
Three times, five times, ten times—now even seventeen times per wave.
If not for the sheer size and strength of the gate, and the fact that the creatures outside didn’t seem to understand the concept of concentrating their attacks on a single point, the defense would have already been breached.
What exactly were those things outside?
Inside the command center, a rapid response force had already taken up defensive positions behind the gate. A battalion of 2,000 troops, outfitted with medium exoskeletons, stood ready alongside heavy combat robots. They were armed with Gauss rifles, rocket launchers, and anti-armor machine guns, all deployed in fortified positions, prepared for the worst.
Against normal terrorist threats, this level of firepower would be absurdly excessive.
But looking at the massive dents on the military-grade steel gate...
The officers in the command center couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
Whatever was outside was no ordinary enemy.
Just moments ago, several surveillance drones were deployed to scout the area beyond the gate. Every single one was destroyed—instantly and simultaneously—by an unknown force.
The attack method? Unknown.
The direction of the attack? Unknown.
The precise time of attack? Just now.
The interval between attacks?
There was none. All drones were shot down at the exact same moment.
And before they were destroyed, not one of them managed to capture any visual of what hit them.
What on earth…? What exactly is outside that door?
After the drones were taken down, an oppressive silence filled the command center.
The gate’s mechanical locks had been damaged by the relentless assault, making it impossible to open manually. Even satellite surveillance failed to capture anything.
Everything outside remained an enigma.
And though no one had actually seen the creatures yet, an unspoken agreement formed among the personnel in the command room:
Whatever was outside...
It was something far more dangerous than even Godzilla.
The surveillance feed switched to the front-line defense cameras.
Through the high-resolution footage, the eerie, humanoid shapes pressing against the gate became clearer.
They had four limbs and a head—appearing, at first glance, human.
But their proportions were entirely unnatural.
Even the heavily armored soldiers, wearing exoskeleton power suits that boosted their height to 2.8 meters, were dwarfed by the towering figures outside.
The beings were at least seven meters—no, eight meters tall.
And their limbs were grotesquely elongated.
Compared to human proportions, these creatures had exaggeratedly large limbs. Their head-to-body ratio was roughly 12:1—a stark contrast to the human 7:1 ratio.
Terrifying strength.
Humanoid appearance.
Yet an inhuman height and body structure.
And above all... the ability to take down aerial drones with unknown attacks.
Aliens.
As much as they didn’t want to admit it, there was no other explanation left.
Had the Ghidorah's Wings brought something back from Venus?
But the Venusians weren’t supposed to look like this!
Everything about the creatures beyond the gate remained a mystery.
The emergency response troops braced themselves, raising their heavy riot shields, forming a two-meter-tall shield wall in front of the gate.
Although the shield wall was unlikely to be effective against the colossal beings pressing against the gate, it was still a necessary precaution.
What if those creatures had some kind of long-range weapon—the same one that had taken down the drones?
Gauss rifles were set up through openings in the shield wall, while heavy combat robots loaded armor-piercing rounds. The moment the gate was breached, they would open fire.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom—!!!
The relentless impacts continued, growing louder and more forceful. The gate was warping beyond recognition.
Inside the vast expanse of Gate Three, tension hung thick in the air. Every soldier stood ready, fingers on their triggers, eyes locked on the twisting metal.
They had completely surrounded the entrance, sealing off every possible escape route—including the stairwells leading underground.
Now, all that remained was to face whatever came through that gate.
Boom!
Boom!
Boom! Boom!
The deformed gate could no longer withstand the force. The cracks widened, revealing glimpses of the shadows beyond.
And as those shadows grew clearer, the soldiers could finally see them—layer upon layer of thick, overlapping chitinous armor.
And a face. A face eerily similar to that of a human.
BANG!!!!
With one final, earth-shaking blow, the massive gate burst open.
Gunfire erupted. Explosions tore through the air.
Then—golden figures streaked in, moving at speeds surpassing the sound barrier.
And they were not alone.
Behind them, countless other creatures charged forward—twisted, elongated humanoid figures, wielding primitive weapons.
The battle erupted in an instant.
Screams of agony.
Explosions.
Bullets tearing through flesh.
Metal clashing against claws.
The deafening symphony of death.
And then—silence.
Only a single, distinct sound remained.
The sound of something chewing.
Crunch. Crunch
Snap
It sounded delicious.
Something—some things—were feasting.
. . .
Across North America, East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, something was happening.
Something was feeding.
This was no isolated incident.
This was no singular species.
The transformation of the planet had begun.
And nothing could stop it.
. . .
A Titan is a beast beyond reason.
Its existence surpasses all logic—not merely in terms of size, nor in sheer strength alone.
It could defy the very laws of biology, capable of limitless regeneration, far beyond human understanding.
It could possess unrivaled destructive power, energy-based attacks capable of annihilating entire armies.
Or, it could demonstrate terrifying adaptability—unmatched in survival, reproduction, and even infection.
And the Ghidorah's Wings and Kaiser Ghidorah were precisely such creatures.
Their arrival on Earth was not to conquer, but to reshape and experiment.
Even in death—defeated by Godzilla and humanity—they had succeeded.
They had transformed this planet into a Monster Planet.
. . .
From the Bering Strait, black-scaled plants emerged, forming deadly traps that devoured the first survivors to emerge from their shelters.
Across East Asia, new primates—born from the corpses of the Ghidorah’s Wings—were hunting down the old primates, turning their flesh and bones into nourishment.
Beneath the Middle East, aberrant worms burrowed up from the depths, slithering into underground bunkers, devouring everything in their path.
In Northern Europe, tide-like swarms of chitinous creatures dissolved entire cities, consuming steel and concrete like mere sustenance.
And finally—high above, in the skies across the world—golden dragons soared.
They were identical to the Ghidorah's Wings, yet their bodies were ten thousand times smaller.
A new ecosystem.
A new world order.
Even if Godzilla no longer moved, even if humanity no longer fought—humans would never again be the dominant species.
This planet was no longer a world of humans.
It was a Monster Planet.
A new primate was colliding with the old primate’s world.
And now—
Who could possibly save it?
