Volume 2 Chapter 99: From Beyond the Stars
Two hands met in a handshake, but the expected alien hand was absent.
Unlike the darker skin tone of the Bilusaludo, the hand grasping Ludwig’s was exceptionally pale.
"People of Earth, we finally meet."
Another "person" stood between the Bilusaludo and the humans.
It was a truly beautiful being—whether "he" or "she" was unclear—positioned right in the middle of the humans and the Bilusaludo. One hand was extended, catching the outstretched hand of the human representative, Ludwig.
The other hand, slightly delayed, took hold of the outstretched, dark-skinned hand of the Bilusaludo diplomat.
This moment was captured by everyone present. None of them had any idea when this breathtaking "person" had arrived.
At first, all focus was on their appearance, which left everyone in awe. The perfection of their features exceeded the imagination of those present. For an instant, some even forgot to breathe.
Literally.
A few people collapsed, fainting to the ground, causing a minor disturbance.
Only afterward did they realize that Ludwig’s hand had never actually reached the Bilusaludo ambassador’s hand.
Amidst the lingering smoke, the owner of that large hand stepped forward, breaking through the haze. He emerged from the vertical elevator, towering over the others—if not three meters tall, then at least two meters seventy or eighty.
This was the first time a Bilusaludo had revealed their true form on Earth—a species similar to humans but significantly larger.
Without any direct comparison, aside from their lack of eyebrows, they could almost pass for a human who had simply dyed their skin a silver-black hue.
But the moment they stood next to others, the difference was undeniable. The humans looked like children in comparison. Their arms were thicker than a human’s thighs.
Upon closer inspection, the proportions of their limbs and torso differed from humans as well—their limbs were more pronounced, and their heads were also larger in proportion.
As the alien giant stepped out of the elevator, he stared intently at the unexpected third party. Even while shaking hands, his gaze remained locked onto them.
Ludwig, too, was thrown off rhythm by this sudden arrival. However, he did not let it show, instead responding with a healthy, welcoming smile:
"People of Exif, Earth welcomes you as well."
Then, he extended an invitation—originally intended solely for the Bilusaludo ambassador.
An invitation to the highest center of power on this planet.
. . . /
The three of them were now aboard a plane, heading toward the World United Government’s newest capital—New Eden.
Their transport was the latest heavy-duty transport aircraft provided by the World United Government. Inside its vast cargo hold, there were only three passengers: Ludwig, the Bilusaludo ambassador, and the Exif alien.
Their skin was as beautiful as white jade, with smaller pores and a smoother texture than even the fairest-skinned humans on Earth.
Golden-white hair cascaded over their shoulders, their face striking an exquisite balance between masculine and feminine features. Their smile was as warm as the morning sun.
From both a male and female perspective, they were utterly flawless. By human standards, their apparent age was around twenty.
They were very tall, nearly two meters—half a head taller than even Ludwig himself.
Their attire was pure white, made of an unknown material.
At first glance, it gave an impression of unexpected cleanliness and beauty.
And then, there were those golden eyes…
This unexpected visitor left an excellent first impression.
Compared to the other group, they were already winning in terms of perception…
After a few glances, Ludwig had to admit that this new arrival left an exceptionally strong impression.
So strong, in fact, that if this being had appeared in the pre-Godzilla era, their face alone would have been enough to make them a global superstar, worshipped by countless fans.
It was almost terrifying—especially in an age where humans could modify their appearances at will, and yet, even now, this alien managed to achieve such an impact naturally.
And then there was that voice—so powerfully captivating when broadcasted worldwide. Superstar? No, with a voice like that, even becoming the leader of an entire planet wouldn’t be impossible.
Perfect appearance, a voice of extreme influence, and possibly an exceptionally high intelligence…
As Ludwig studied him, the alien suddenly spoke.
"Mr. Ludwig, is there something on my face?"
He was remarkably perceptive.
The voice came from right beside Ludwig.
It was incomparably soft, both masculine and feminine at once, radiating a sense of serenity that seemed to seep into one’s very bones—like standing inside a grand cathedral, listening to a choir of angels.
A single voice, yet as mesmerizing as an entire choir—that was the alien’s voice.
As he spoke, the Bilusaludo ambassador beside him couldn't help but frown. Though he lacked eyebrows, his facial expression made it clear—he did not appreciate the voice of this third party.
But the alien didn’t seem to notice. His golden eyes remained fixed on Ludwig, his lips maintaining a perfectly measured smile.
"I was simply thinking," Ludwig replied with a returning smile, "how remarkable it is that despite coming from three different worlds, three separate planets, we look so similar. Truly, a coincidence granted by God."
The alien smiled in return.
Meanwhile, the Bilusaludo ambassador—who had already been frowning—now turned his head away entirely, making no effort to hide his distaste for the conversation.
It was understandable. His entire plan had been thrown into chaos, and to make matters worse, he had been humiliated in front of the primitive monkeys he looked down upon. No one would be in a good mood under such circumstances.
Especially not a fully mechanized Bilusaludo. His emotional processing modules made his feelings simple and direct—complex emotions were still beyond their ability to simulate.
Brain mechanization was not something the Bilusaludo did lightly. It only began when their neural cell division reached its absolute limit.
Only those who remained conscious throughout their long interstellar journey resorted to such measures.
Ludwig took note of the ambassador’s displeasure but chose not to acknowledge it.
The unexpected arrival of this third alien had certainly embarrassed the Bilusaludo, but for humanity, it was an incredibly fortunate turn of events.
At the very least, humanity now had something to keep these extraterrestrial beings in check—even if that "something" was simply another extraterrestrial being.
"God, huh…"
The third alien mulled over Ludwig’s words.
At that moment, a faint drop in altitude inside the aircraft signaled their descent.
They had arrived.
Below them lay the highest center of human power—
New Eden Headquarters.
