Volume 2 Chapter 69: Expanding the Territory of the Empire of Consciousness

It had been more than two months since they left the Hotlands.

After spending a full two months under house arrest in the Ibut Lord Ameer residency, the people of Rhine Lab were finally allowed to leave, only to be ambushed midway by a group of mercenaries wearing exoskeleton power armor.

Fortunately, the contingency plan left by Garde came into play.

A black dragon emerged from the axe, striking fear into the "mercenaries" who attacked Rhine Lab.

The sudden ambush was thus swiftly neutralized.

However, after repelling the enemy, Saria still ordered the team to remain in place and wait.

Because after scaring off the attackers, Aletog turned back into an axe and flew away, leaving behind only a single sentence: "Wait for me, I'll be right back," while muttering, "No way I'm letting outsiders steal my blood for free."

It turned out she had flown back to Sargon to reclaim the blood she had unwillingly parted with.

After heading to Sargon, she went on to Columbia.

Thanks to the originum-rich environment, Aletog, capable of maintaining subsonic flight at low altitudes, took less than half a day to recover all her blood.

As for the Sargon and Columbia officials whose dragon blood was taken — well, tough luck. You were heartless first; don't blame me for being ruthless.

Sargon would definitely try to snatch the blood back again later, but as for Columbia, they had originally agreed that as long as they didn’t cause trouble, they could take a small portion.

Anyway, Garde didn’t believe they could really figure out anything from it.

Although the amount of recovered blood wasn’t much, a little was still better than none.

"Besides, that bad guy promised me..."

If she worked hard, leaving behind some of her own blood, maybe one day, it could help revive her.

Though there wasn’t even a scrap of bone left, and even Garde might not be able to help, but hey, there's still a small vial of blood, right?

And Aletog wasn’t truly dead: her soul remained intact, and she could even form a complete body just with her spirit form.

Honestly, having or not having a physical body didn’t make much of a difference.

Still, with enough Ascension power, it might be possible for Garde to fully restore her body, maybe when Garde reached Level 18.

After recovering her blood, Aletog finally felt a little tired.

Living inside the axe had become comfortable over time, but it was still no match for her original body.

A giant axe, about as tall as a person, returned to Saria’s hands.

And in Saria's mind, Aletog’s majestic voice echoed:

"Vouivre Mortal, the problem has been dealt with. Don't call me unless it's important."

Hearing Aletog’s powerful voice, Saria’s longing for Garde grew stronger.

Even though he wasn't by her side, Garde was still protecting her in his own way.

What could Garde be doing now?

Saria gazed at the sun slowly rising from the edge of the eastern wilderness, thinking silently to herself.

. . . . . .

Pop~

The sound of Garde cock popping out of Ho'olheyak tight lower half is like the sound a cork pulled from a tightly sealed beer bottle.

After a sleepless night full of baby making sessions, a young Adakrys boy — barely 1.5 meters tall, maybe even less than 1.6 — sat at the edge of the bed, arms folded across his bare chest, wearing a deeply confused expression.

How did it end up like this?

Wasn’t he just bringing Ho'olheyak over to get some rest?

Now, thanks to last night spar, Ho'olheyak practically didn’t rest at all through the night!

Was it his fault, though?

He was innocent!

He had been planning to leave, but Ho'olheyak kept talking about fate, the future, things he couldn’t understand at all.

So, naturally, things just... happened.

Long story short, Garde had adapted into a form that could make both sides feel good.

Although cumming one or two times wasn't enough for him to be truly satisfied, at least it saved him from needing to rely on "self-service" anymore.

Just as he was about to find a place to clean himself and Ho'olheyak up, Garde noticed something through a crack in the window — a gaze.

Stare~

Don't forget, Garde had given his coordinates to the Seaborn in order to protect Laurentina, so no matter where he went, the Seaborn could always find him.

And now, Ishar'mla was standing outside the window…

Who knows how long she had been peeking?

"Rather than watching from the sideline, how about you join?"

Following the principle of "if you see it, you get a share," Garde reverted to his original form and took the Seaborn into the pound town.

And so, another day passed.

For Ishar'mla, enduring one day of non-stop sex was still within her limits, as long as she rested for a day afterward, she could recover to full strength.

But with her stomach already full, and since Garde didn’t actively ask for more, Ishar'mla didn’t ask him to keep doing her.

It wasn’t that she couldn’t keep going, but Garde started thinking:

They had been missing for quite a while, what if the others were getting anxious?

"It's fine, it's fine, Mr. Garde. No matter how long you’re gone, it’s not a problem."

Clearly, Garde had underestimated just how much weight the word "employer" carried in Sideroca's heart, especially after he had shown his strength, which is able to cause Columbia's secret police to retreat voluntarily.

At that point, Sideroca realized that she had probably latched onto a real powerhouse.

As a subordinate of a real powerhouse, all she needed to do was obey Garde’s orders and take good care of the little Seaborn girl he had left behind while he was away.

And this kind of task? She was great at it!

After all, what could be more important than securing a long-term meal ticket?

As for Dario and Irene, after going to the site where Garde had collided with the high-speed battleship and seeing the wreckage, Dario witnessed exactly what he had wanted — proof of Garde’s strength and methods.

He knew there was no need for him to stick around any longer.

What Garde didn’t know, though, was that Irene's cheeks stayed red the entire time until she left.

Because when Ishar'mla went looking for Garde, Irene had quietly followed behind, meaning that whatever Ishar'mla had seen through the window, Irene had seen too.

"Wawawa–! How indecent!"

Sadly, Garde didn’t hear Irene’s evaluation of him, a real pity, because if they had stayed another day or two, he might've given them a handy communication tool as a parting gift.

After two days, Garde’s Ascension Power had almost fully recovered.

When Ho'olheyak woke up, he had to half-coax her back into her usual state, and then seriously taught him some key things about the Empire of Consciousness.

By using Ascension Power to mimic the originium arts of the Nightzmora, Garde’s task was to leave his own mark in the Empire of Consciousness, and from there, carve out his own territory.

It was similar to being dragged into a Nightzmora's world before, except back then he was only wandering in someone else’s domain, not leaving any trace of his own existence.

But this time, leaving his mark in the Empire of Consciousness would definitely draw the attention of the other rulers who resided there.

In this vast realm, there weren’t just Nightzmora rooted through their clans; there were also those who preserved methods for entering dreams through inheritance, and even gods and Feranmuts who could naturally wander within the dreamscape.

As Garde set foot into the world of the Empire of Consciousness, the rulers' gazes turned toward him.

Garde was about to carve out his own kingdom here.
