Volume 2 Chapter 125: Piercing the Ocean!

Flames hotter than the surface of the sun left scorched marks on its body.

Molten lava beneath its feet crept up to its ankles, still attempting to climb higher.

But none of this could affect what it had become—

Godzilla-Earth.

With 20 atomic breaths, it easily parted the ocean.

Before the poisonous seawater could flood in, Godzilla’s massive body had already smashed into another wall of water—

A wall of water whose toxicity was tolerable to it.

Strolling along the ocean floor, Godzilla’s field of vision sank into total darkness.

But its Earth-Wide Radar allowed it to perceive everything with absolute clarity—

The movements of humanity, of alien species, and even of nature itself.

On the seafloor, its body—capable of supersonic speeds on land—was greatly slowed by the crushing pressure of thousands of meters of seawater.

It could barely reach 100 km/h.

That was natural.

After reinforcing its body once more, Godzilla's weight had surpassed 40 million tons, and its density exceeded that of water.

This meant it could no longer swim—only walk along the seabed.

It was a kind of weakening, reducing its movement speed in the ocean to less than half of what it had been.

But this wasn’t a real problem.

Feeling its body cooling down, Godzilla slowed for about ten minutes—then it prepared to accelerate.

BOOM!

In an instant, a blinding light illuminated the dark depths of the ocean.

In a sea that hadn’t seen a single glimmer of light for tens of millions of years, a sun suddenly rose.

And before this sun had even faded, in the very next second—an even more intense light erupted beneath the waves.

Not a single flash, not just two—but a continuous chain of explosions, an unending series of detonations!

Dozens—hundreds—of miniature suns formed a straight line across the ocean floor.

And within that line, a figure surged forward through the inferno!

With 40 million tons of mass, it burst through one layer of flame into the next—

Yes, this was Godzilla’s method.

Explosion.

Using low-powered atomic breaths, it generated a series of small, continuous nuclear blasts to create superheated gas bubbles along the seafloor.

These bubbles reached extreme temperatures, even hotter than the sun’s surface—

But for the current Godzilla, this posed no threat.

Each explosion—at hundreds of kilotons—formed a bubble that propelled it several hundred meters forward.

Even if it had to create ten thousand such explosions, the total energy cost would only be a few billion tons of TNT—A trivial expenditure for Godzilla now.

Occasionally, it had to pause to cool down its body.

But even with these breaks, its deep-sea speed exceeded 800 km/h.

It wouldn't take long—It would soon blast through the entire ocean!

Humans watched, stunned, as Godzilla’s chain nuclear detonations lit up the seafloor—And since there were no native Earth lifeforms left in the oceans, Godzilla had no need to worry about environmental damage.

One massive bubble after another exploded beneath the sea.

Each of Godzilla’s breaths detonated hundreds of meters ahead.

For reinforced concrete, such close-range nuclear blasts would be utterly devastating.

But for Godzilla?

They merely tingled.

So long as the explosions weren’t directly on its body, Godzilla could withstand tens of thousands of blasts at this range without any hindrance.

The ocean depths were torn apart—Guided by its Earth-Wide Radar, Godzilla chose the most optimal path forward.

Avoiding oceanic trenches, it rampaged recklessly along the seafloor.

Even seamounts thousands of meters tall were blasted through without hesitation.

. . . . . . .

Two hours later…

Godzilla landed in the Indonesian Archipelago.

Its outer layers had been melted beyond recognition as it stepped onto land.

Tens of millions of tons of seawater cascaded from its body.

Its appearance now looked utterly miserable—Its face deformed and melted by nuclear detonations.

But that was merely how it looked.

In reality, it wasn’t nearly as bad.

Only the outermost meter or two of its surface had been melted.

For a Godzilla that now stood over 600 meters tall, such superficial damage amounted to nothing but cosmetic disfigurement.

It didn’t affect its functionality at all.

Now that it had reached land, it could proceed via land bridges straight from East Asia to North America!

In the ocean, Godzilla’s top speed had only reached 700–800 km/h.

But on land…

It could easily reach 2,000 km/h!

With its legs fully tensed, and with a thunderous boom, the 40-million-ton beast sprinted across the ground at Mach 2!

Each footfall shattered entire kilometers of terrain.

The shockwaves it kicked up were like the blast radius of a nuclear warhead, spreading outward in all directions!

Some mountaintops were blasted bare, forests stripped clean, and countless trees uprooted and hurled aside.

As the black mountain-like creature charged forward, the earth beneath cracked and buckled.

The spectacle rivaled the chaos it caused beneath the sea—Every step triggered tectonic rifts, hurled debris skyward, followed by violent quakes and kilometer-high mushroom clouds.

Godzilla on land was like a mobile catastrophe generator.

Seen from above, its path was pure devastation.

At this point, it didn’t even need to unleash its atomic breath—Its movement alone was enough to reshape terrain and shake the very mountains.

It was that overwhelming.

Mapping its path in its mind, Godzilla linked together the coastal human cities still standing across the globe on its panoramic radar.

In its calculations, it would reach the South American coast within 20 hours, and within that time, it would cause over 1 billion deaths.

Even if humanity managed to repel it in the end, such casualties would be completely unacceptable for the human race.

While it calculated its route, it remained vigilant—monitoring for any human raids on its ecosystem zones.

Its will was synchronized with the Second Generation and extended to nature itself.

If any human strike teams dared to approach its altered ecological zones…

Then Godzilla would unleash from the sky a barrage of lightning and tornadoes.

As it ran, it used its bodily control to shed the scorched, melted skin from around its breathing vents—breaking them into microscopic particles, then scattering them across the land as it sprinted.

In the near future, just like in Australia, these shed skin cells would multiply and evolve.

They would create an ecosystem entirely belonging to Godzilla.

A living zone where humanity could never survive.

Godzilla charged forward, from Indonesia into Southeast Asia, and continued its push eastward.

But during this relentless march, it encountered a problem.

And this time, the problem didn’t come from humans.

A field of dark-golden ecology had begun to spread and thrive across the earth.

And they would become the first barrier to stand in Godzilla’s path.
