Hello, I am a fan from Bilibili. I have just started learning miniature model painting. I want to ask about the issue of spraying white ink paint at the beginning to pre-shade. Does ink paint have any irreplaceable advantages? Can I use regular white water-based paint?

the advantage of the white ink is that the pigment is very small (Specially in Liquitex Brand) and you get a good white very fast with little dotting in the miniature. With regular white you can get the effect but will take more time to reach the same white and you will need to dilute the paint in order to work in the airbrush well. Dilution will cause you will have to insist to get the white and you will loose contrast because of the miss shooting of the airbrush

Got it, thank you so much for clarifying!
