Hi Juan, Do you think using liquitex titanium white ink will provide the same effect as the AK white ink? Or would I have to air brush it less/more

AlexKav

Such a great tool for excellent results really fast

Brutal...

This is outstanding! I love the new route of PDFs! Question! In the PDF it says the method only works with transparent inks, not 50% diluted contrast paints, but in the later step you're using a contrast paint. Could you suggest a transparent ink we would use for something like this that's good out of the bottle?

PDF are great idea, really appreciated.

Love this technique to get the light contrast on the model, this has inspired me to purchase some ultramarines and attempt this method, so you have a list of the paints, thinners you used to complete this at all. Thank you

I think you can check ultra videos, there is a lot of them!

Gracias Juan! Para los que somos algo perezosos, podrías recomendarnos algún Paneliner ya hecho para esas sombras? Gracias tio!

Hi Juan, I am a new member and a big Ultramarines fan. I just looked through the posts and I am struggling to find the which colors to use of edge highlighting. In this pdf you show how to get from printing to the blue undertone, but the rest is not shown. Can you tell me what color did you use for the edge highlight? Did you do additional highlighting on edges etc.? Thanks and sorry if its already posted somewhere but I couldn't find it.

elminiaturista

Hi dude, thank you! I use to edgehighligth with AK ducat blue, and max bright with deep sky blue

elminiaturista

That was my firsts pdf.. and are not as detailed than lastests

Doc Mike

Hi, thanks, really like your work, should you update the pdf ultramarine in the future that would be awesome.

Hi Juan, first time trying the method. Do I go full opacity with the first blue color or do I have to stop myself from going too opaque? Thanks in advance

elminiaturista

the key is that your black and white work see throught the ink layer... that is why is importan use transparent inks.... no all contrast are transparents... if the ink is transparent you will get a full color version of the ink when its over white.. and darker tones over grey and super dark over the black...

elminiaturista

so.. you can insist with the ink as you want.. but if you insist so much yyou will loose the previous work, loosing the contrast that black and white work gives to you
