Looks amazing

I've been waiting for this one. I've been obsessed with that subsurface scattering effect on the glowing brain since I saw it on your instagram! My issue now is deciding if I like the scheme without the glow enough to paint the 90% of my army that don't have exposed brains. The digital alternatives help; as much as I love the magenta, I think I like the warm brown carapace more than the blue so I might end up trying the green glow instead. Looking forward to trying this on the neurotyrant. I'm thinking of mainly adding those dots on the underside of the carapace where everything will be in shadow to really sell the bioluminescent effect and make it look like some kind of bizarre deep sea creature.

Looks great, do you know an alternative to the oilbrusher white? Seems like it’s out of stock in the uk 😐 I’ve been painting for 20+ years but have never used oils on a mini before, so not sure what would be good

winsor and newton oil white is p. good and easily found in most arts shops

I think any high quality white oil paint + thinner will do the same. I hear good things about abteilung 502 and I know some other mini painters use Windsor & Newton's artists range which is available in most places in the UK.

Insane!
