I plan to have Sheva shooting some 'ropes' 🥛 across the car. Hoping that doesn't end up problematic because I like the idea of it.
I've always wanted to animate "explicit content" inside a car and now it's off my bucket list. Now the list only has about 53ish things left
Decided to do the monthly now as I have an idea for another time sensitive animation I want to try right after this.

*Tech Notes*
Shapekeying
I kinda forgot how useful shapekeying physics manually can be. I've moved towards using mostly bones for stuff like this since shapekeys are specific but the shapekeys can give some pretty good stretching and squashing effects that bones can't give. I used it quickly on the balls for Sheva a bit because I was getting frustrated with the look the bones were giving me. Bones can only size change in the x, y, and z positions but shapekeys are drawn, you can make them any shape. It's probably the best for artistic minds or 2d drawers. I mainly stopped because shapekeying collisions of any kind only work when they are looped and if they get any changes then they won't look correct anymore
Fitting in the Car
I underestimated the difficulty of fitting two characters in a car and then getting good camera angles lol. It wasn't too bad in the end but the real issue was viewing it in blender. The door gets in the way, the windows get in the way, something is blocking your view. It is a very tight space and I made a "proxy car" when was just a duplicate car stripped of alot of features for easier viewing but in the end it was just easier to go into Blender's edit mode and tear the mesh into multiple parts so I could just hide some of them.
Lights & Face
I didn't show it in the preview but I got some ok lighting so far. I know the preview image looks bad but I couldn't get a better basic one and I didn't want to show the incomplete lighting. I still need to light the outside scene more. I want it to be dark but light within the car. I just threw together something for the face to show but I think it looks wonky so I may go back and do that all together.
Animation style
So, I kind of pulled back a bit on this but when I started on Sheva's movement I wanted to make the movement sort of jiggly and harsh. I thought of how Rigid3D moves their characters and wanted to try something similar but I sort of stopped after doing her hip movement and just did the rest of it however.
