If I had a dime for every time I've made two robots have intercourse, I'd have 30 cents.

The models look quite good and cortana even more since she she has the well done holographic look from the games. I was gonna finish the star wars one first but I thought why not just do this one since it will be a bit more basic and I want to make sure I complete it before end of month.

Creating Robotic Voices, Chatgpt, and AI?

First off, I know the word AI is scary but don't worry I didn't use AI in the animation and will just be talking about the subject since it loosely applies.

I haven't shown you guys the sound yet but I was curious of how to make a voice sound robotic and had no idea how. I went to a video and didn't exactly get the best answer. Spoiler alert, I ended up with something I think sounds really dang good which leads to the answer of how I got it... Chatgpt. I've recently been using chatgpt more for questions of blender and creating certain aspects of my videos and I've found it to be quite useful at times as I never had much of a reason to use it before. I think it would actually be the perfect tool for beginners in blender as there are so many small issues when you first start that it could help to troubleshoot. It certainly makes mistakes but if you double check you'll be fine. Which brings me to another point since we are on the subject of AI....

This doesn't relate to the animation but just for the sake of conversation lets talk about AI images and vid generation😱! I'm sure someone out there is curious to know my opinion (IDK, maybe not). I think that all the AI I've seen so far... is lackluster (videos and images). It's certainly a cool marvel of technology but I'm mostly referring to actual enjoyment of the content. I'm careful on AI in the first place due to the morality of it but I'm not completely opposed to it when done in certain ways. It's just that everytime I see generative AI, it...

1.) Makes everything look generic and the same

2.) Removes any personal touch the user creating might have had

3.) Looks boring

Creators who have used it I think aren't thinking of the appeal of their own stuff that other people feel. When basic forms of AI is used it just looks like everything else every other average joe is making.

I understand that it is evolving and I'm actually excited about the possibility for it to make tools inside of Blender to help with animation but I'd never want it to remove the actual animation process, only to improve or make it more interesting. As you can tell I have never used AI and it will stay that way for the near future as I think none of it even looks good enough to use anyway.

Posing

At first it was kinda hard to choose a pose. There are plenty of ways to have someone do a standing split if you search it via the internet but I always want to get the most creative and appealing look so I found the best looking one and then did the pose. when you have the model bend their legs extremely it often causes the most issues. You can shapekey them to look better at times but the mesh might start shrinking or growing since it is meeting the 180% mark and wants to snap the other direction acting as -180 instead of 180 if you know what I mean. The main issue here was EDI's butt shaping strangely so this one is quite jank with what quick weird fixes I had to do to get the pose to work. In the end it worked out.

Peen Textures

The wieners were actually just textured by me taking the textures already used on the main bodies and smacking them on the peen. I then moved them around a bit so they look to be in a decent pattern. I also used "color attributes" in blender which helped to just color certain parts of the texture so that if something looks too awkward I can kinda just blend it together by drawing over it. It probably makes more sense to just do texture painting but I always run into issues whenever I use texture painting.
