I wanted to do something quick and I had a technique or two to try so I wanted to do that as well. I've always liked doing horror themes as I've done quite a bit in the past, this one isn't much horror aside from the game it's based (Dead by Daylight for those not familiar) on but I want to return to some more horror themes again.
This hopefully will be out in a day or two
ANIMATED WIP IN ATTACHMENTS BELOW
*Tech Notes*
Small Scene
I did use assets provided from someone who pulled them but I've been more often starting to design and create my own sceneries. I planned to have it indoors but didn't intially have walls so I switched it up and though why not to make it outdoors. I wanted it to be night with not too many lights to convey darkness aside from the main viewing area. Gave the moon some emissions and a massive sun light to give the blue glow to everything. Lighting is not final and the WIP is not even all the lighting I've done yet.
Pose
Alot of the excitement I got from doing this was from the pose. I really like finding new pose ideas I haven't done that I think look nice. I don't use references and for these crazier poses it can be hard to find a unique reference anyway so I kinda just think out the idea and then move the characters and play with it a bit. I wanted to mess with the idea of Yun-Jin (top girl) giving the handy to the other girl. There will be a fem version likely just without the hand there. For the handy I want to see if I can give to some more expression but if it fails to look good then I'll just do something else for it.
Animation
Since I got an addon that allows for quick 'damped tracks' to be added to bones I decided to give it a try in this animation. Quickly explained damped track is a modifier that makes a bone stay pointed to something else like an object. It is nice because as a body roughly moves around it usually will drag other bones with it and make it look like a singular piece and this can also cause stuff to look jittery when trying to make a bone move additionally after already being moved by another part.
By adding damped track, lets use the head as an example, you can make it stay still regardless of the other movement. When someone is thrusting into someone else for example, their lower body only slightly affects their head movement. Naturally the human will try to keep their head looking in one spot they want to see so the head will mostly be in place with a bit of bobbing involved. That is what damped tracks can do, sort of give more control independent of other bones. I used it for both bodies, one track for the upper body and another for their heads.
