It's over baby woo!!! Another fun set but I did feel some exhaustion at spots. Probably not helped by the face that I was messing around with that Big Rivals animation right before this. Funny enough I actually kind of feel like animating again now that it's over.
But I'll force myself to take atleast a full day to relax. I can get back to those alternate renders for Halo and Rivals (last two animations) and do some of those renders overnight in the meantime. Time to get to the monthly animation. I really want to do a little starter/intro for it I have in mind but I'll need to make sure I still got time to do it before end of month.
IMPORTANT: I've added the challenges for all 3 days into the MEGA with all the other vids.
You can find it in the usual links in Patreon's collections Tab named "Tier Folders" for peanut tier and cashew tier.
Folder Location: Animation Challenges --> Animation Set #5
*Tech Notes*
I'll ramble here a bit here. My regret for this one is the facial animations being bare or lacking in general. I've lacked face expressions plenty in the past but with these characters it feels like a missed oppurtunity.
I actually did something brand new with this animation I've never really done in my animations before. I animated the general motion loop and then I turned it off close to 0% so it was basically off. Then I animated from their general poses the movements you see at the beginning where they are just getting into the main part. After I animated the start up I then slowly dialed the main loop back on from 0 to 100% and then it finally gets back into the full motions.
Now, in concept it's not a hard thought to have the action start from 0% to 100% but doing it in Blender is another thing and I never felt comfortable or really knew how to do it. But with my knowledge over time I said "hmm, why not do this". It does have some weird issues here and there mainly remembering where you are clicking and what you are changing as changing the wrong things can mess up the general pose or the loops, etc. Also if you want to make changes to the loop it's now a bit weird because the intro is now there instead so you have to set the loop for some time later, etc.
Overall
I got a good bit out of this challenge and what I really think it ignited was my passion to try to get out of loops and do some more innovation so we will see where that goes from here.
