Animated WIP (Patreon)

Got another quick animation from an idea I had in my head that I got really tempted to do. This doesn't relate to the monthly as Tristana was in that poll but she did not win. If you wanted to see her then you're in luck as I really thought that she was perfect for this quick idea I had.

*Tech Notes*

Quick mention of Blender 4.5+ (Eevee Next). I had to work knowing that I had to limit the amounts of lights I could use. Previous mentions of Blender 4.5 and the changes of eevee I discuss the issues with light flickering and while you can manage it, it is immediately a problem that you have to try to work around. It's pretty lame because just because I know how to work around something doesn't mean that I'd rather do it.

This is something new I don't really think I've ever had to mention but for certain animations such as this you always need to determine what parts of the body will be controlled by the others and then pair them with a "child of" constraint which is just the name of the constraint that lets one bone follow another. For example, Trist's hand is controlled by Sej's Leg. Trist's Leg is controlled by Sej's balls. I considered making Trist's whole body move with Sej's lower leg as she was resting on top of her but I realized that would be a mistake because it would make Trist move to 1 to 1 with Sej's reactions.

The mountain in the back is just an image which I don't do often but it helps for outdoor scenes for sure and can look pretty normal when you do it right. The Depth of Field blur will help to blur it a bit so that it doesn't look abnormal. I also initially wanted Trist to be in a spooning position with her hand reaching around to Sej's balls but I realized that she was much too small to do this and would be generally blocked out of view for most camera angles. Sejuani with the helmet on has a face that I painted partially black to give her the serious look over the eyes similar to her portrait in League.
