Hello! Firstly, sorry for the silence! I said on Tumblr that I'll be posting things in bulk due to Chapter 3. Usually I spread them out throughout the month to keep active but this month I didn't want to burn myself out with finishing CH3 so I decided to release things at once! For band tier, that's three things for the first batch <3 (It was supposed to be four but I didnt get to finish the last one yet but I wanted these out so I'll be working on release that with the rest!)

IRIS CH2PART 2 POV SCENE (4K)

SEVEN FIRST DATE (MC POV) (6K)

SEVEN FIRST DATE (SEVEN POV) (8K)

It comes out to around 18K words!

Thank you for your patience and understanding! As always, if there are any errors or anything :)

I hope you're feeling better now amy!! Looking forward to reading these. Thank you for putting in so much time and effort into infamous 🥰

Hallelujah Christmas came early

V

making my sick day so much better i’m so excited to read these !!

Jayla

I’m already freaking out and I haven’t even read it yet

Jam

I didn’t need to sleep anyways. I got my priorities straight and so does Lucy. Everyone else who isn’t Mc (Avina + SV) are outta luck, the Duckstein family has been claimed already.

SlyFire

Not the 'Seven has a secret child' theory making an appearance 💀

rua

Iris <33 Need more heart to heart moments with the band. Besties being besties. Thank you for the update! These are so good.

jnicbuck

Love these past pov MC/Seven crumbs but it hurts my heart knowing what fate awaits them 💔😭 Can tell me like an age timeline of their relationship both friends and lovers? I remember they became friends at 11 I think? At what age did they begin dating or does this pov take place? Thx!

Julia

“He's briefly reminded of what his mother once said. You tend to get obsessive. Is this obsession? No. Seven simply wants to absorb himself into MC’s body until they're permanently infused together. That's not an obsession, he doesn't think.” screaming crying spilling my guts on the floor, RAHHHHHH🗣️🗣️

Julia

and then “If MC had asked him to drop out of school, he'd have done it. Asked him to drive off a cliff? With glee. He sees his mom's face in his head. He dispels it with a mental wave of his hand.” praise Amy, patron saint of GOOD FUCKIN FOOD🙌🙌 eta: oh I just got to the expiration date on their friendship paragraph, that one hurt🥲

junie

the secret child joke 😭😭

SlyFire

Y'know, I went into the seven POV thinking it would be on the same level as intensity as the MC POV...silly me forgetting Seven is intense af. God, every other line ranged from obsession to extremely low self-esteem...or a mix of both. Seven thinking about how they'd always compare dates to MC, how they feel they're always giving more in their relationships, thinking no one would want a child with them, etc. I think the line that got me the most was 'For once, instead of soothing the latent anxiety that is always thrumming in [Seven's] veins at a constant frequency, [MC's] the source of them'. Babygirl please get therapy 🙏. All this to say...good writing as always!

lovey lovey lovey

take all of seven’s pain and give it to john lennon (they seem like they hate john lennon)

Ashleigh

noooo i'm so upset, i love them and i want them back so badly😭😭

Tweedle Dee

How to devastated me in 18k words or less, this was so great. I love the bands POVs of the MC, the changes, the way MC seems to react and how somethings are just missed in all the subtext. Its just amazing. In some of the choices seeing how 7s attached at the hip style was also perceived was interesting! It's so faxinating seeing how 7s changed, how in the valentines special he maintains that worry that he'll fall back into old ways and actually seeing the stages in that relationship. Regardless those first date POVs... they are so romantic, so on point for the type of 1 in a million type of relationship they seemed to have if you go, of course they have to lean towards the romance and not the friend route, but seeing them in the early stages is so affectionate. Amy knocked it out of the park!

Kao

At work but i just could NOT play the First Date POVs (sorry Iris i'll get to you later). I'm devastated, destroyed, obliterated... This was suuuper soft and cute and adorable 🥺 But as with everything Seven, there's an underlying bitterness and sadness, knowing what the future held for them and the state their relationship is at rn 😢 I need them to make up stat and go back to being the lovefools that they are for each other!!! lol And i know i say this everytime but i'll only be thinking of this first date for the time being.

Tweedle Dee

IT MADE IT IN! So glad I can feel some sort of "resolution" by poking fun at that tinfoil hat theory.

Baby Hands Garcia

Amy I love you so much, Everytime I think I'm getting the hang of these characters personalities you give us more, I feel like a kid who's been given an unlimited budget at a toy store. ❤️

shrek4ever

I love the band POVs, I love getting in their head. Also love how normal and rational and emotionally stable 7 is, very interesting tidbt of info that they were that much connected to sex when having them with ppl they were in realtionship with. I wonder did that came back after 7 and MC broke up?

John McIntyre

I love this so much. The first time I played I fell for Seven as an RO and every time I discover more a part of me breaks for how hard their road has been, especially with how hard I ship them. 😛

kat b

Seven: What do you have that’s starving artist friendly? Also Seven: Orders a salmon dish, a fish known to be expensive even in more affordable establishments Oh Seven Duckstein ily. Also I’ve always been a ex-friend!Seven MC-that-realizes their-feelings-too-late truther but this is slowly converting me 😭

monka

Seven’s POV was so intense I felt like I was being gaslit into thinking I’m obsessed with the MC too. Also, I felt like I’ve never truly grasped the severity of how unhealthy and obsessive Seven’s rs/mindset about the mc was, until I’ve read this, and realised, wow, they really need therapy. This level of obsession and not knowing what one’s identity is without the other is NOT NORMAL. It makes me appreciate the Valentine’s Day special more, seeing them change for the better. Knowing how they were before, knowing the effort it took for them to accept that how they were in the past was can’t be how they’ll be in the present/future. Also, loved Iris’s POV, it’s refreshing to see the other members POV instead of just being stuck in 7’s/MC’s head, and only knowing how they felt about the breakup and the new dynamic without 7.

A sandwich

You have accomplished the impossible: while I'm not exactly happy for how the breakup went down, I've turned the corner on being glad 7 and MC got distance. That was painful, reading how unhealthy their mental state was. And, like, there was absolutely no way that MC would not at some point let 7 down with the idealization going on. Related/unrelated, learning that 7 didn't particularly enjoy sex with folks they didn't have an emotional attachment with makes the revenge hookups post breakup just SO much crueler. For everyone. Big yikes, my bud.

Cam

7 is anxiety from Inside out confirmed . love them ! Btw the “What if the expiration date on their friendship is ticking down and down, and they've already lost years?” Bbg you have no idea. AMY SEND HELP YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME. 😭

sleepingcrows

Seven. When I emotionally catch you Seven. 🔥 😭

Gabe Clark

Iris! TToTT <333 I always loved that scene with her, so seeing it from her perspective was an absolute treat.

anby

god the band (+seven) is so tragic i don’t know how to explain it. like their whole thing is making me go insane…. just seeing an iris pov followed by a codependent sev pov is making me have so many thoughts about them. i hope that someday they all do therapy together and can have Normal relationships with each other 😭

Vinny

Me before reading the POVs: I’m okay Me after reading the POVs: I am no longer okay

Vinny

Also everyone is gushing over Seven/MC (rightfully so) but weirdly this whole thing just made me feel really bad for Avina of all people. Like sorry babe (gn), I know you think so but Seven will NEVER care about you as much as they do MC. That’s why they feel so relaxed around you 😕

Ana Victoria

Maybe they did hooking up as a form of self harm? This was actually painful to read lol pobre patito

Ana Victoria

Seven gives really strong BPD vibes imo.

Ana Victoria

Yeah lol I hope Sev doesnt hurt Avina's feelings

I read your comment after reading only the MC POV and my first instinct was to disagree with you. But having read Seven's perspective, I think you're absolutely right. I don't know how I didn't see this before Amy spelt it out. It's a credit to her writing. Maybe it says something about me as well lol. I think the Valentine POV was certainly a huge step forward for Seven. But it's still not healthy. It's a very reactionary way of correcting something that didn't work, without getting to the heart of why it didn't work. But I have faith in Seven, and more importantly I have faith in Amy. I think, even if my MC were able to read Seven's POV in this moment, he'd still want to be with them. In many ways it was a rough rough read. Because it's excruciating to be this close to someone you love and not be able to do anything at all to help.

gombocman

Amy I finished the two POVs of the date and just had to let you know what an exceptional writer I think you are, especially with dialogue and internal monologues. I struggle so much with that in my own writing. I think you make an incredibly difficult job look effortless. You've set it up so cleverly. Maybe I'm just that dense, but at no point, not in their many other POVs, did it hit me just how much Seven was struggling with their mental health. I looked at the occasionally irrational bouts of anger and I reasoned it away. Reading their POV was like being hit with a sledgehammer. It makes me immensely sad, and guilty, and adds a layer of hurt to every interaction with them. At every point in their relationship and before, Seven had needed help, and there was no way for the MC to know or to be of help even if they did. Maybe the separation was necessary. But I think even if the MC could read Seven's pov in that moment they would disagree. You want to help. There are few feelings as utterly excruciating as being right next to someone you love, unable to put the pieces back together for them. They must put in the work, and sometimes part of that work means you having to step away. It is delicious, wonderfully set up character work that you have dredged up from the depths of hell to hurt me. I hope you're happy (no but actually you're the best)

gombocman

I don't see what about this is so hard to understand these are perfectly normal thoughts by a perfectly not obsessive person. I just want to entangle our atoms and form a perfectly emulsified soup of us so I don't have to worry about being apart I don't think this is too much to ask. Many people agree with me on this.

beechbark

oh my gosh seeing the different perspectives seven and MC have of one another in the same scene is so so interesting. i always love reading seven povs bc on the outside he tries to play it cool 24/7 but on the inside he is screaming at all times poor guy

Cam

Re-reading everything and can’t stop thinking about the way 7 is constantly worried about MC possibly changing their mind about them or thinking MC is going to distance themselves from 7 and leave them …. Only for 7 to do that in the future ….. IM UNWELL 🤧

Kristylae

The first date povs were so good. Loved Seven's, the sheer anxiety and panic they have at times. Was so lovely to read after MC's. The obsession they have is so obvious, and is really making me like their Valentine short so much more now. And it was just a lovely little date. Makes me want to see more of the two when they were dating the first time.

Roman

I'm a Sevenmancer and I know we are FEASTING today but I also really love getting to know Iris more because the rest of the band are SO important to MC. Her relating her and Devyn to MC

Roman

and 7 right is so sad! I love how we can see the dysfunctional parts of their relationship even this early. ESPECIALLY on 7s side and MC is kinda enabling them. Its so good, I'm screaming crying and throwing up 😭

olive

“Is this obsession? No. Seven simply wants to absorb herself into Saoni's body until they're permanently infused together. That's not an obsession, she doesn't think.” ohhhhhhhh seven 😭😭😭😭😭 “Being close to people—your people—is nice. It makes her feel safe. Can she do without it? Yes.” wow. this was interesting to read and gave insight into how views the rest of the band. did they always feel like the rest of the band were more mc’s friends than theirs??

Sunny

“They are not here and I need them here” I know I said I love the idea of 7 needing MC but you really had to show me how something usually cute can be extremely unhealthy, didn’tcha Amy? 😔

Amy

thank you 🥲❤️

It was more that Seven knew they could survive without the band but not without MC! But they loved the band, it was just different for them 🤧

Excellent writing, Amy. You made me feel more positively toward Iris, who I really disliked before. And I loved both the MC and Seven's POVs of the first date and found the first date to be incredibly sweet and cute (and I agree with Seven about paying so much for a snack!). A bit of a different perspective on Seven's POV, however... It is normal for people to be borderline obsessive at the beginning of a relationship, and I think the switch from friends to lovers for Seven and MC qualify for "beginning" of the relationship. It's a marked change from them being friends (albeit closer than one typically thinks about when they imagine bffs) to being "more". In my opinion, it's understandable Seven would be like this, at this point--they are taking a big risk (if any of you have been faced with the idea that, "if we step over this line, we could lose our friendship", you know what I mean). At the same time, Sev is feeling that giddy intensity that comes with the newness of a relationship, which can manifest in a variety of ways: wanting to be together all the time, wanting to touch constantly, being afraid that the fragility of the budding relationship, etc. Seven being Seven thinks in the most dramatic of ways, and given Seven's typically pessimistic view, it can come off as obsessive or unhealthy to people who can't comprehend that level of intensity. That said... The problem I see in Sev's POV is their lack of self worth and apparent inability to be alone. If you can't be content alone, you'll never be content with someone else, and I don't think Seven can be content alone (which is why they need to sleep with Avina every night). I find it odd that Seven--who has a loving mother--is even more afraid of abandonment than the MC, who may as well not have parents and never really experienced anyone loving them, save for Seven and Lucy. Is it an inherent personality thing with Seven? Is it something that was spawned due to a traumatic event? But the random thoughts of wanting to physically (and probably mentally) meld with the MC isn't a problem *at this point*, as far as I'm concerned. If Seven was still thinking this way once they got past the infancy stage of the relationship (once the new car smell wears off a bit), then yes, it would be a problem. My guess is that Seven *was* still thinking this way after they and the MC had become more comfortable in their relationship, and that's why they reacted so strongly when the MC either voted them out as co-lead (and I don't blame Seven in this case, and agree the MC betrayed them) or when the MC appeared to take their side with a "no" vote but didn't leave the band for them. I've always given Seven a hard time, but it's not due to their intensity or even them being hurt over what the MC did to them. It's the vitriol that I have a problem with, that and Avina (sorry, I hate this perfect little snowflake character more with each passing moment). I still contend that my MC would've walked away from the band, but I know for story purposes the MC was forced to remain with the band and will be forced into being horrible to Seven in a flashback, and when that happens, I will probably be more understanding about the vitriol, too, and end up hating my own MC for a time because of how they behaved when I didn't have control of them. Sev's POV here actually made me understand their behavior in the VD specials more, too, probably because we never really saw how intensely they felt about the MC before, and were just told. Given this POV, I completely understand why Seven would want to keep the MC at arm's length and basically avoid them once they're back together--it's the proverbial hot stove situation, and Sev doesn't want to get burned again. However, I really question how "codependency" is defined in this story since Seven shoving the MC away is supposed to be healthy. By their very nature, committed couples--who depend on each other for emotional support and a close companionship, among other things--are somewhat codependent. That type of commitment requires allowing someone to share your life and space (no matter how annoying they may be at times), and requires work and compromise to keep the relationship alive. Perhaps that is unhealthy from the game's perspective? Perhaps being faithful to your partner and wanting to spend time with them, instead of friends, a bedbuddy, or alone, is unhealthy? Keeping your partner at arm's length isn't much of a relationship, IMO, and I wouldn't bother putting any effort into such a relationship. But I suppose some people see "healthy" relationships as people who say they love each other while living completely separate lives and keeping their distance. 🤷‍♀️

Ana Victoria

I'm loving the discussion on this post everyone got amazing takes. I'm a MC apologist I understant a 100% with MC would've stayed in the first moment: The band being one of MC's main support systems, Sev not saying anything before the fight at the party, mc wanting to please everyone. I also feel really bad for mc in this whole situation bc being in a relationship with someone this codependent on you can be suffocating. Amy you're spoiling us, I've been so entertained in the last few months lol

Colton Vance

I'm seeing everyone talk about Seven needing help and therapy and that none of this is healthy, and it makes me feel really bad for all the warm fuzzies that reading their POV of the date gives me. Like, I DREAM of one day being loved and wanted by someone to even half the extent Seven seems to care about MC. And there's something so incredibly heartwarming about the idea of being someone's safety and calm, like MC was for Seven. Do *I* need therapy?

Dani

"He's briefly reminded of what his mother once said. You tend to get obsessive. Is this obsession? No. Seven simply wants to absorb himself into Kyra's body until they're permanently infused together. That's not an obsession, he doesn't think." sorry to the other RO's, I'm coming back home to Seven!!!
