Need input on shark girl (Patreon)

I should say whale shark girl, since her mom was a great white and her dad was a whale shark (the most docile of all sharks). Earlier I posted some rough first draft concepts for this character's design exploration here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/next-beach-girl-134142285

Now we've landed on something close to this ^ but we'd like your input on the 2 options.

#1 has orange goggles, a shark fin zipper, and a white trim around her hood.

#2 has pink goggles, an anchor zipper, and a pink trim around her hood.

Let us know which you prefer please and thank you! Need your input!!

I agree that the shark fin zipper doesn't read great. A fish might be better than an anchor, but the anchor works. Color-wise, however, the pink trim feels out of place, at least the way it's rendered here. I suppose it's more of a redline than a final rendering, but I'm leaning more towards the orange goggles and the white trim.

*Cracks knuckles* input you say? Well, where do I start? I like the direction, going for the “bully girl” trope I’m assuming? You are right about the zipper, the original design is a bit too normal, I say go with a shark tooth, sorta like how people wear skulls. Pink nails, yes, maybe longer nails too, really sell the predator aspect. I’m very happy she is both gyaru and has silver hair. Fishnets are a great pun and much appreciated, midriff cut is appreciated and great. And I like that she’s on the tiny side, but, I can’t say I wasn’t hoping for more in the direction of Wendy thickness. But that’s just me, majority rules. Smashing design overall.

Definitely like the zipper on #2 it’s a fun detail without being too flashy or taking up a bunch of space. as for the pink on the hoodie i dont think it’s needed. I feel like it clashes with the other colors of the hoodie too much. Maybe just do the pink nails and keep the hoodie white? Also I hope if she bites it’s not too hard! XD

The anchor zipper is way better than the fin zipper, and the pink is better for sure. The pink can also be a reference to the whale sharks main food which is also pink. I love the design as a whole though, she is very cute.

The addition of pink in #2 is nice, although as currently seen the hoodie's pink might stand out a bit much, so I wonder if either white like #1 or a slightly subdued variant of this pink would work for the hoodie while the goggles, zipper, and nails stay pink. The anchor zipper is nice (and I could not tell that #1's zipper was a shark fin until reading the text), though I also like Larry's idea of a shark tooth since an anchor brings to mind "pirate" more than "shark".

I think anchor zipper is more of a cute design choice. I think the pink color give that pop color in his design

#2 is nice, but the pink trim stands out a little. Maybe the pink could be softer?

I like the pink one better- especially the 'gumline' on the hoodie. I def think that her zipper pull should be something other than the fin- it doesn't really read as such on a first glance. Maybe a shark tooth?

I love that she looks so smol and feisty! 🥰 I think #2 is definitely the better design - the pink looks better than the orange; the anchor reads better than the dorsal fin; and with teeth being one of the most iconic features of sharks, whitening them was a really smart choice. The bright pink gum line is a bit distracting. I like the painted nails, but not so sure about pink - maybe white to match the dots on her hoodie? Also, it should just be a legal requirement for all aquatic-themed characters to wear fishnets. And also most non-aquatic-themed characters. This has nothing to do with anything, I just really like fishnets. 😛
