Radiohead aren't for normies but they're one of the best bands ever.

Exit music for a film was written for the romeo and julliet film in 1996 which is why it has those themes of running away and family tension

Dan Hartzog

From Wikipedia: The lyrics depict a dystopian world fraught with rampant consumerism, capitalism, social alienation, and political malaise, with themes such as transport, technology, insanity, death, modern British life, globalisation and anti-capitalism. In this capacity, OK Computer is said to have prescient insight into the mood of 21st-century life. From Thom Yorke (singer) on the lyrics: On this album, the outside world became all there was ... I'm just taking Polaroids of things around me moving too fast. It was like there's a secret camera in a room and it's watching the character who walks in—a different character for each song. The camera's not quite me. It's neutral, emotionless. But not emotionless at all. In fact, the very opposite. Perfectly clear, right?

Dan Hartzog

OK Computer is one of the greatest albums of all time. Really looking forward to your reaction to Kid A, another album that blew everyone's minds when it was released in 2000.

Lmao that makes more sense now I never would’ve guessed there was a different character for each song

good video dude sorry for my drunk ass comment the other night Lol talk all you want

Sage is Typing...

No worries I’m used to people telling me to shut up at this point 😂

Radiohead songs after the bends are soulless in my opinion. Just moaning about this and that, paranoid this, and his voice sounds like he's skint and hates being in a band. But that's why variety is the spice of life, love your reactions mate, and going through new and familiar albums with you man. Maybe one day il 'get' Radiohead lol but various odd sounds and depressing lyrics and his voice pretending to feel anxious when he's happy and rich, just comes across as pretentious to me. These types of songs are easier to do than invent melodies like Yesterday or Let It Be (the Beatles). They are doing a reunion tour next year I think. Love your reactions pal peace from Ireland 🇮🇪🇺🇸

karma police and paranid android were both top 10 hits in the uk

Ritchie Lamond

Late to the party here but you did ask repeatedly if he sings as well as this live… in a word, yes… I’d highly recommend looking up “Radiohead Amnesty International 98” - their entire set is amazing but both Paranoid Android and Karma Police in particular are epic.

I wouldn’t do Pablo honey next, I think you should do in rainbows before kid a cuz idk if ur ready for kid a fr but u def need to check out amnesiac, hail to the thief and also a moon shaped pool once ur done with their more popular ones cuz there’s hidden gems on each album

John Doe

u look biblical bro

Sergio Valcarcel

After this I would give a listen to In Rainbows, then Hail to the Thief

John Doe

Never listened to that whole album. I am unfortunately agreeing. Radiohead COOKED!!!!!!!!!!! paranoid Android is a masterpiece what the fuck

First saw radiohead live in 98 when they were touring this album. Been several times since. They have no bad albums just some are stronger than others, just depends on your personal preferences. For me it's close between ok computer and in rainbows. Every album has at least a few classics

David Coppinger

Also exit music for a film is the romeo and Juliet exit music and thats what the lyrics are about

Exit Music, Let Down, and Karma Police is one of the greatest 3 song runs of all time, by any artist, in any genre. It blows my mind that they have those 3 back. To back. To back!

I also totally get what you said during Paranoid Android about this not being the "car ride to work" music lol. Radiohead is bar none by all time favorite band, but I go through phases where I'll listen to them obsessively for days to a couple of weeks, maybe on shuffle, maybe going through the whole discography, maybe listening to one album on repeat. But then I may not listen to them for weeks or months at a time lol.

For sure! I’ve noticed that that’s almost exactly how I’ve been listening to this album as well

David Coppinger

They're amazing live although my best live music experiences are still from the Prodigy. I've seen pretty much all of the UK bands you've been listening to. Oasis, Blur, the verve, morrisey from the smiths and fontaines DC. Great bands
