Revolution 9 Reaction boutta be crazy lol

TheOptimist

Helter Skelter is considered by many to have almost pioneered metal music, so yeah you right

Keenan716

Yes Helter Skelter is widely considered the first metal song of all time. Once again, The Beatles were ahead of their time. McCartney was reading something in a magazine where Pete Townsend of The Who said that they created a very loud song. McCartney in his very competitive manner said they wanted to make something even louder, thus creating Helter Skelter. It is practically the first metal song.

John Doe

Charles Manson went in full blown psychosis over Helter Skelter. Shit was demonic back then. Definitely proto-metal

politico storic

You actually listened to all of Revolution 9 HAHA, That song just be a pure troll.

Keenan716

As for the next album do not waste a week on Yellow Submarine please. There is only 4 songs on it, the only songs to listen to on that one is "Only A Northern Song" "All Together Now" "Hey Bulldog" and "It's All Too Much" honestly dont even need to dedicate a whole week to that album cuz just throw it out as an extra or something since its only 4 songs everything else you heard and the George Martin side is for the movies has nothing to do with The Beatles. You can listen to it when you do past masters disc 2 at the end. You can go right to Let It Be. There is a 2021 mix of Let It Be please use that. Then after is Abbey Road 2019 mix. You'll find both of those under the compilation section on their page on spotify as they are super deluxes

I dont think u should put songs in S just because there are too many songs in A etc, if a song is A level it should be in A. Youve done this before where u switch rankings because there are too many in the same one, it kinda loses its credibility if u know what I mean. Just saying, no hate

politico storic

It’s a piece of art for sure, but come on 8 mins, it ain’t going in S tier and I only putting it in the rotation for jokes.

Kiwilainen

Going from their debut to this in less than 5 years is crazy. That's how long it takes for artists today to drop an album that sounds exactly like their last one. Yellow Submarine only has 4 new songs on it. I'd say either stick those onto Past Masters Vol 2 or just save them for streams or smth

Dan Hartzog

The White Album is one that your favorite songs will change over time, and songs that didn't connect at first might become your favorites.

Gerard McCartan

Love your honesty mate.. even though Im a Beatles superfan I'm not afraid to also be honest.... unlike many other Beatles superfans, who think their albums are all GOAT level and that everything they did was great. It wasnt. I think The Beatles are number 1 because everything they did was in a mere 7 years. 1963-70. They have easily written and released at least 50 of the greatest 100 songs of all time,(just my opinion)....., but their albums apart from Help! can be a draaaaaaag. Looking forward to the music you react to in 2026, take care bro! Look after yourself pal.

Gerard McCartan

Im a Beatles superfan brother, and I disagree. Too many songs off the White album are guff. Even George Martin said it. Piggies, wild honey pie, bungalow bill,do it in the road, revolution 9, except me and my monkey, c'mon, they are a drag to sit through. Just my opinion, hope you're good mate.

JM

The Yellow Submarine album is not worth a video on, it’s a soundtrack for an animated movie. Only 4 new songs on it, they should be added to past masters or another reaction

Gerard McCartan

Its horrific. Revolution 9 is something i refuse to listen to after 2 minutes in because its taking the piss. Give me If I fell all day over that nonsense!

Ritchie Lamond

One of my low key kicks in life is watching people react to the Beatles and then get to Revolution #9… did not disappoint. That plaintive look to camera that screamed please just shoot me… Now imagine sitting through all of Disc 1 and Disc 2 in the same sitting before hitting that absolute roadblock at the end

Dan Hartzog

All good - music is subjective. Not saying Revolution 9 is going to to become anyone's favorite, but I think some that didn't connect at first like Savoy Truffle, Yer Blues, or Everybody's Got Something To Hide are ones that may grow on him.

Derek Dugan

McCartney's father was a musician also - from the "Dance Hall" era, so you hear a lot of that style coming out in McCartney's writing (Like "Honey Pie"). Also, in this era - they were writing separately and there was very little collaboration on this album, which makes it all over the place musically and this was when the break-up discussions were starting.

jerrun holt

Mad respect for sitting through number 9

bryan

“why do i like this” bro is discovering whimsy

Patti Crichton

A lot of people always refer to Revolution 9" as a "SONG" It's NOT a song obviously, it's called a "SOUND COLLAGE" The ONLY "technology" they had for his, was basically tape recorders to tape various sounds from very sources and then splice them all together have NEVER heard ANY of those lyrics in Revolution #9 except for a very few. Only "The Watusi, The Twist, El Dorado" can I hear clearly and when a woman (sounds like Yoko's voice, but not sure ) says, "you become naked" The rest what I hear are sounds, and then at the very end, that is a FOOTBALL game you hear where the crowd is cheering "HOLD THAT LINE" HOLD THAT LINE" which is what we always yelled when it was the opposing team's 3rd down and we want OUR team to KEEP them there, so they don't get a first down. That is followed by the crowd yelling "BLOCK THAT KICK" "BLOCK THAT KICK" which again is football, wanting our team to prevent the opposing team from either kicking a field goal, or a punt. That's about the only "lyrics" I could clearly hear. I have been listening to REVOLUTION 9" whenever I play the White Album, since it came out in 1968, because I usually hear something I never noticed before. But I NEVER heard ALL those many lyrics that were on the page you were reading.! They must be really buried under the different sounds.
