Well done for slogging through this, it's a long listen even for a fan! Oasis fact that ties in with the song 'Rubber Ring', Oasis used the sample on the outro of that song (the 'you are sleeping, you do not want to believe') as their walk out outro to some of their stadium gigs in 2005. You should do Morrissey solo 'Your Arsenal' next, has a more muscular glam rock sound and was produced by Bowie's guitarist/co-writer Mick Ronson.

This album has some good ones. Next I recommend “Hatful of Hollow”. Save “Strangeways Here We Come” for your last reaction because it’s a really good send off to The Smiths as a whole.

Everything important on Hatful of Hollow is already on Louder Than Bombs and given that he doesn't really fw comoilations and that he seems to not like erly Smiths that much I don't think there's that much of a point tbh. He should do Strangeways at some point and maybe some Morrissey solo albums if he wants to/there is huge demand for it, but I don't think he loves this band enough to sit through a bunch of radio sessions of songs he's already heard

Golden Lights is considered by many fans and critics as their worst song ever made. Putting it over Heaven Knows at first was absurd to me lol. Glad you done this album though. Please hit the last album, its by far the saddest and most different. Its the best send off for the band. It tends to also get overlooked a lot but the band claim its their finest.

I'm glad your listening to the compilations since they had so many great songs that were singles, not released on albums, for example How Soon Is Now is probably in their top 5 songs and that doesn't appear on any studio album! Please listen to Hatful Of Hollow to hear that!

Fun fact, the piano from Asleep was actually originally the outro to Suffer Little Children but it was ditched after the demos, and then they brought it back later on with Asleep

This night has opened my eyes is probably one of my favourite smiths songs too, it is MAGNIFICENT. Great reaction, i’d say you don’t particularly have to listen to hatful of hollow because you’ve pretty much heard everything on it, HOWEVER it is very important you do listen to “How soon is now?” From the album i think you would really like it
