silent alarm by bloc party surely is gunna be on here sometime

Matthew Dickin

Sage, would love you to listen to These New Puritans sometimes - check out Hidden, Field of Reeds and Inside the Rose - I think you'd find them really interesting

Ever

Definitely, if he was impressed with the drumming on this album, he will surely love it on silent alarm

J

I just assumed he’d listened to it already, probs the most iconic 00s indie album along with is this it and whatever people say I am etc, has to go to poll surely haha

In 2003 I was playing in a band in London that had music industry connections and I had an advanced copy of this. But… I was put off by the hype and didn’t give it it’s due. Now I’m thinking that the 4s are the best years - 84, 94, 04. I did hear Take Me Out in a club at the time and although I was cynical, it was undeniable.

pbaker

Yes, I wasn’t convinced by Franz Ferdinand at the time (wrongly), but I was all over Bloc Party and stuck with them for four albums. Definitely needs to go in the hat.

EricB

brooo you NEED to listen to the geese/cameron winter discography!

Dan Hartzog

They are very fun live. I like their next album, You Could Have It So Much Better, even more than this one.

Dan Hartzog

If you really want to appreciate lyrics, let's get to some Bob Dylan!

X-Offender

Goated album, nothing else to add.

Monkey Ninja

This Fire was the opening for Cyberpunk Edgerunners, you may know it from there

Toasty006

This album is just so solid, if you liked this I think you’d probably enjoy Myths of the near future by the Klaxons
