couldnt agree more mate, the final cut is right up sage's street i reckon. Roger is so underappreciated. I somewhat doubt we will get to the final cut and beyond though if voting is a factor sadly

Bring on the Wall lets get back to going forward

You should check out Echoes live at pompeii sometime, they’re playing in the empty amphitheater and there’s lots of artsy visuals, but IMO it sounds even better than the studio version!

“i think i have a thing for acoustic guitars” we need to get this guy into elliott smith bro

Seconding watching Echoes live from Pompeii... Incredible. They rerelased the whole live at Pompeii movie on IMAX last year and seeing it was transcendental

I think the song you were thinking of that Echoes sounded like was Breathe (in the Air)

Did you react to a saucerful of secrets?

I love how you really appreciate the music and what they are trying to portray instead of just rating songs based on lyrics or popularity. This is a transitional album where Pink Floyd really moved away from their psych rock (and Syd Barrett) influenced roots into atmospheric progressive rock. You totally nailed it comparing Echoes to "Dark Side of the Moon". Echoes was the epic that launched Pink Floyd into the progressive rock genre and eventually led to their magnum opus. Their early stuff is all over the place, but it is all worth listening to. "More" is a soundtrack to a very obscure French film, and it has some of Floyd's heaviest AND prettiest songs. "Ummagumma" is split into two halves. The first half is a collection of live songs, and the second half is a super avant-garde studio album with four different solo tracks for each band member. They certainly aren't on the same level as "Animals" or "The Wall", but I think you will appreciate them. You also have to watch their Live at Pompeii concert movie. It might be the best performance you've ever seen.
