Hi! Today I’m sharing which colors I used to make my tulips illustrations last month!
There are 14 color palettes.
Most of them are quite similar, there are slight differences, like I used a different shade of green for one illustration or something like that which seem minor but makes a difference.
These could be used as inspiration.
You definitely don’t need all of these colors (or exactly these specific colors) to get similar results.
I use mostly Promarkers, Arteza markers and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils but there are some exceptions.
Meaning of the letters in brackets:
MARKERS
a – Arteza
p - Winsor & Newton Promarker
s – Spectrum Noir
cl – Colorista
c – Copic
PENCILS
f – Faber Castell Polychromos
a – Arteza
pc – Prismacolor
+ WN – Winsor & Newton designers gouache paint, zinc white
Here’s how my workspace looked after making these! :D
I moved my desk closer to the window to get better lighting.
Usually it’s in the middle of the living room, as it’s the only table in our home, so it’s not only my desk but also my partner’s desk and our dinning table and well... everything in between. Maybe one day I'll get my own desk but this solution is working for now! All of the palettes together!
I labeled them using small sticky paper so it’s easier to tell which one is for which drawing. Later I might just label them with a pencil (I don’t fully trust the glue in these sticky notes :D)
There are also printable versions of these files, in case you want to have them printed!
It doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten about a monthly coloring page – I’ll upload it by the end of this week.
If you have any questions in regards of colors or anything, please feel free to reach out!
PS. I was requested by one of you to share all of my green colors and favorire/recommended color combinations. I’m working on it!I’m also working on other request to create coloring pages from some older designs, like gooseberries and apples! That’s also on my to-do list this month.
I’ll be posting more often this month and I already have a lot to share with you, so yaaay, stay tuned!
Thank you for your support.
I’ve been having a rough time (it’s getting better) and it truly means a lot.Marta
