Hi!

I finally have a tulip themed coloring page for you!!This time I used fineliners instead of colored pencils for the first time ever.

So the lines are cleaner but also a bit more chunky!

After months of practice I finally feel confident enough to use fineliners in my works, yayy. I used two micron fineliners for this one – sizes 0.03 and 0.1.

Please let me know what you think about this new style (and whether the change is even noticeable?!)

If you prefer an outline made with pencils also PLEASE let me know.

I made another version with colored pencils (just in case!) so if there’s even one person who prefer the old style over the new one, I can provide both versions! :D

It took me AGES to edit this one cause I made a huge mistake of using wrong paper.

When I realized that it was too late. What do I mean by wrong paper? A paper with the texture! It was a nightmare to edit these thousands of tiny black dots, especially since this illustration has a lot of details.

Next time I’d check the paper twice before making the first line, lol! I was just too consumed by new medium that I’ve forgotten about basics! It wasn’t the first time I made this mistake but I hope it was the last one.

Lesson learned.

Back to the coloring page!

Here’s the original black and white version

I also made one with colorful outline

and the one with light gray outline for those of you who prefer more delicate look

and here's how I colored part of this illustration:

(it looks a bit yellowish here?? or is it only a reading mode setting on my screen?!! :D)

and the color palette:

(in one of the previous posts I shared more color palettes for tulips!)

As always, there’s an A4 version and slightly resized Letter size version.

ENJOY!

Marta
