Hi!♥

Today I can finally share this video with you! It’s the first video in the little “summer berries” series.

Basically, I’ll upload two more videos like this one (coloring black and red currants), probably with a voiceover (but no promises about that).

Then I’ll merge all these three videos into one, this time with just music and which particular colors I used, showing on the screen in real time.

Something like I did in one of my previous videos where I colored an apple.

Anyway, about this video!

I added subtitles for the first time.

What do you think? Was it helpful or rather annoying?

I added all of them manually, just by writing down everything I said and putting it in the right place on the video's timeline.

It was a lot of work but well, at least I’ve learned something new this week!

I tend to talk too fast and my pronunciation can be, um, rather questionable, at times.

My voice gets a bit nasal sometimes (hello, allergies, my old friends), so I figured… maybe it’s time for subtitles.

Not to mention accessibility.

I just can’t stand when the show I’m watching doesn’t have subtitles option.

Sooo… it was about time! (but here you don’t have an option to turn them off, lol)

Okay, I just learned (as I'm uploading the video and writing this) that there’s an option to add automatically generated subtitles on Patreon!?!!

Well, that’s something I might be testing in the future but I’m pretty sure I’d probably generate some wild results sometimes...:D

I’d REALLY love to hear your feedback.

Do you like this format of the video?

This length (it's a bit on the shorter side?!)?

Subtitles? Yay or nay?

A voiceover?

I’m doing fine (hope you’re too!) and I’ll be back with the next post soon! (no more radio silence, pinky promise) ♥♥♥

Love,

Marta

Wahou ! What a fantastic tutorial! I've really enjoyed watching it and learned so much!! Your explanations are super clear. Thanks for this new tutorial, I've finally understood the mistakes I was making. Now I can improve my future drawings! 🎨 I follow along using Photoshop with a digital tablet, even though you draw by hand, but I still apply your techniques. I've especially appreciated how you've shown the way you apply colors. Before, I used to cover the entire blueberry (which I've been practicing on) with the same color without leaving any empty spaces. Now, I'll make sure to do it your way! 🌿 Your tutorial is really well-made, and I truly hope you'll make more in the future. Please don't forget to share the colors you use next time! 😊 Personally, I take screenshots of your color reference chart to use with Photoshop. Regarding the quality of the video: - Sound & pronunciation: The audio is great! I'm not a native English speaker, but I fully understand you. - Subtitles: They're a great addition, especially if you don't want to have the sound on. It made me smile when you wrote "aaaaaand" just as you said it. 😊 - Video editing: It's well done! The only small issue is when the camera goes a bit out of focus—it’s a little distracting, but nothing major. 😄 Thank you so much for your amazing work! 🙌 See you soon here ! Chaze

Oh wow!! I’m so happy to hear that! Thank you SO MUCH Chaze for writing such thoughtful comment! It really made my day. Oh! Which brushes do you use in Photoshop? Have you tried Kyle Webster’s art marker brushes? They imitate markers really nicely! Not leaving empty spaces isn’t necessarily a mistake – I’d say it’s just a bit different style. But yeah, keeping a smaaalll tiny not colored area is the easiest and most effective way to create reflections, especially on round objects :> Sure! I can edit this post and upload a color palette if you need it! I planned on sharing the color palette alongside coloring page (and with the merged video I mentioned in the post) but I can totally do that tomorrow in this post’s description. No problem at all! Thanks for the feedback on the video!!! I don’t have a microphone, so I’m glad to hear the sound quality was good in your opinion. I can record for only 8 minutes at once, with my old Android phone, so the angle can change a bit sometimes. I don’t know if you’ve noticed that but this video was recorded in 2 different days (the weather was changing A LOT and I had to stop recording cause it got too gloomy all of the sudden – bad weather might caused the blurriness on some parts of the video). I have two more videos like this one recorded and I’m editing them as we speak! Then I’ll have some drawing tutorials and maybe sketching videos :> If you have any suggestions or ideas for future videos, I’m all ears! ♥♥♥

Wow, this is well done, you should post these tutorials on Youtube! Subtitles are extremely appreciated as I am a bit hard of hearing! Loved the voiceover! ✨

oh no!! I was SURE I replied to your comment! I really appreciate you taking time to share your experience, so I feel really bad for keeping your waiting for the reply. Ugh! Anyway, I’m soooo happy you like this video and that you like the idea of adding subtitles!!!! It really means a lot! I’ll be adding subtitles to all of my future videos with the voiceover! (why am I using so many exclamation marks, lol! Sorry for screaming at you hahhah) Honestly, I don’t use spoken English in my everyday life and before recording this video I haven’t used ANY English for about two weeks. It made me feel super rusty and as if I don’t know English anymore so it’s almost a relief to hear you like the voiceover. Thank youuu!

oh and as for the Youtube! I'm a bit too shy for this platform, lol. Seriously tho, for now I'll keep sharing videos on Patreon only but maybe some day I'll start a Youtube channel! :> Thanks for the encouragement!

OMG! I’m so sorry for the super late reply! 😅 I’ve been really busy these past two weeks, but I didn’t forget about your wonderful message! 🌟 I’m so happy that my comment made your day! 😊 Yes, I actually use Kyle Webster’s art marker brushes, and thanks to your recommendation, I’ve gotten even more comfortable using them. The tip about leaving that tiny uncolored space has made a huge difference in my drawings—it’s such a simple but powerful technique! ✨ A color palette would be amazing, but please don’t rush! It's not important for this drawing, if you can for the next draw it would be very great. I know how much work it takes to put everything together, especially with the challenges you mentioned about recording. (I honestly didn’t notice the weather changes much, but I completely understand how it could affect things!) The sound quality was great too, even without a microphone! 🎤Don't worry! I’m really excited to see the next videos you’re editing! No pressure though—I can only imagine how much effort goes into each one. 😄 Thank you again for everything you do with your creation and the sharing! You’re an good inspiration, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you create next. 💖 See ya !
