Heeey!

I’m working on this month’s prints and stickers (finally, lol) and have some sketches to show you today!

I thought this month’s goodies will feature different kind of berries but in the process of creating them I’ve decided to focus mainly on blueberries.

Knowing that I don’t have much time and that some of my markers started drying up already, I decided to do something I do very rarely - I made sketches on sheets of paper instead of using my sketchbook.

Normally I’d make a bunch of drawings without any thumbnail sketches or plan and I’d just pick the best one. But as I said, some of my markers that are crucial for coloring this are drying up.

Also, by drawing on a separate sheet of paper, I can easily transfer the sketch to my sketchbook (of course it’s possible to transfer a drawing from sketchbook to sketchbook but it’s less comfortable)

This is going to be a print!

This sketch is already clean (umm, kind of) and ready to be transferred!

I’ll use a light blue pencil to transfer it and then re-do the sketch with darker pencil. So from that point the drawing process would look as usual.

I might wait until tomorrow to color this illustration, so I can record the process and share the video with you!

I use Huion A4 LED light pad to transfer this sketch into my sketchbook.

If you’re a fellow artist who've been ever worried about your illustrations not being clean enough or you use a fancy paper, I highlyyy recommend this tool!

I haven’t done such sketches in a loooong time! These might be called ugly sketches!

Here I was designing a lot of berry branches for the sticker sheet. Some of them look quite detailed and nice while others not so much (poor sketch no. 4, lolll). I think I’m going to redraw some of them in my sketchbook, instead of transferring them but we’ll see!

and there's more of them!

Some illustrations!

I might turn some of them into stickers (especially these ones on the left side!) but honestly, I did them only to test colors! (no wonder my markers are drying up hehe)

I really wanted to incorporate more colors into my illustrations and since blueberries are not always only purple it was just a perfect opportunity for this!

I hope to finish all of these in +/- two days and finally show you physical rewards for this month. May this months’ printable remain the secret for now!

I must've overlooked this comment! Making these very colorful berries is so much fuuuun! Have you ever tried using that many colors in a simple illustration?! Yes, I saw some arists making prints in this style but never actually thought of making some myself! Maybe I should! :>
