Hello! ♥

Today, when I was doodling in my sketchbook, I realized I’m more than halfway through it!

It’s about time for a sketchbook flip through!

I tried my best to flip the pages not too fast and not too slow!

Most of these sketches, almost all of them, were already shown in my “sketchbook episodes” here but I thought it could be interesting to show all of them in one place.

This sketchbook is my comfort place.

It’s where I draw to warm up my hands before starting working on anything (more or less) serious, it’s where I draw when I don’t feel like drawing (if that makes sense!), it’s my place for studies and drawing without any pressure. You’re the only ones who get to see what’s inside this sketchbook and I don’t feel the need to impress you (okay, sometimes I do!!)

This sketchbook was started at July 26th.

Sometimes I use it every day, sometimes I wouldn’t draw there for a few weeks.

So, these are sketches I’ve made withing the space of about 4 months. (wow, time flies)

ABOUT THIS SKETCHBOOK:

It’s a DIY sketchbook!

I followed this tutorial on YT

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2FRKbQI2kY&t=80s

It’s so nice to have a sketchbook made by my own hands!

I highly recommend trying it, even if you’re not a crafty person (I’m definitely not) nor have every required supply.

I didn’t have an awl. I used regular thread instead of waxed one and embroidery needle instead of bookbinding one yet still I managed to create a nice sketchbook following the technique showing on this video.

As for the paper, I used the paper from a random drawing pad for kids I bought in a hypermarket (Kaufland).

I like to use a bad quality paper in such sketchbooks so I’m not that precious about everything I draw and I’m limited to use only pencil or colored pencils on this paper.

Hence I call this particular sketchbook a "pencil sketchbook"

Do you have any favorites among these pages? I’m curious!

Marta
