Goddamnit, my partner and I were singing it all day long. But where's Benny's violin solo? When does Cody and the Dry Guys drop their first album?

I love this so much more than I can say. I forgot how much I like the Postal Service (the band, though also the mail system) and this cover is fantastic. <3

JessicaM

What a fantastic showdy, Mr Cody! Amazing voice and you really making me want to buy a mandolin.

Thalandor46

Stupid question. Is this a parody of something? I swear the melody sounds familiar, but I can't put my finger on it...

Eagle Chee

You’re so precious Cody <3

Sam Bishop

This was legit fucking awesome. Like, AWESOME awesome, and it lifted me out of a really, really rough week. Given his gift, I suspect this wasn't some sort of agonizing decision or anything, but I'm still so goddamn grateful that whatever choices put this at the end of that episode were made. It fixed lots of stuff, and now I don't have to feel guilty that my name is in there anymore. Thanks a million, y'allz. I love you very much.

Michael M.

Please keep the mandolin covers coming, newsdude! Pretty pretty please!!

Soviette Tank

I sang along excitedly, when the realization of being an aging millennial caught me with a vicious uppercut, heh...

Percy

DrunkInRlyeh

Damian C

So unexpected but very awesome! Man of many talents!

Rocky Bergeron

When the episode started, I really hoped you'd reference the band. Then you busted out the cover. Great job!

Jeremy Edins

So, I'd not realized until today that becoming a Patron meant I had access to the entire archive of Cody's Showdy, and this is my absolute favorite version of this song now.
