When this was all going down yesterday I was like, at least this will give us some new SMN content 😂

As a non-American living in a non-American country - it was very exciting to watch - not as good as the actual coup attempt in Turkey many years ago (that had a better music theme) - but still... I would have to say that the worst part for me was listening to the speeches from the Senate about how great American democracy is and that all other countries look to you as the epitome of democracy....ummmmm, say whaaaat??? No thanks to American democracy - if my country's secular democracy gets replaced by what is happening in the States, then count me the fuck out! The separation of Church and State is a fundamental aspect of a modern democracy. Leave God out of it. He's imaginary FFS. May as well pray to Mr. Snuffleupagus.

You know, 2019 started with fears of nuclear war with north Korea, 2020 started with fears of nuclear war with Iran, I can't help but feel like this is a bit of a let down. This is of course more proof that America gets the stupidest version of all things. I may rank this as a more incompetent Beer Hall Putsch.

I think we should push for the impeachment of Hawley and Cruz. They are far from the only guilty parties, but they are the most dangerous. When we warn about our next would-be autocrat being less clownish and more capable, these are prime candidates. They should not be allowed to serve in public office. They clearly have no true commitment to uphold the U.S. Constitution.

I live in Texas, a lot (most of my personal anecdotal experience) of conservatives here are super against what happened. Texas is really weird and I could talk about it for hours but the people here are so different than the rest of the south. Like on the surface, similar, but there's a reason it's slowly flipping purple.

One thing I found out about the Georgia Country Flag, is that it might have been the "Knights of the Templar Flag" which is almost identical to the Georgia Flag and the alt-right love the Templars. But it might also have been the Georgia Country Flag, I don't know.

Cancel your Twitter and Facebook accounts. They facilitated this fascist BS because it was profitable. Punish them and help your own sanity.

Wait, the official Antifa coup was in Washington, D.C.? And here I went to Washington state. No wonder I was the only one that showed up :D

Hi, UK view here. I'm not sure that people get 'caught up in the moment' is a valid defence. People get caught up in the moment in lynchings. People get caught up in the moment in riots. People get caught up in the moment in assault. If you don't want to get 'caught up in the moment' then don't be there. Or, show some fucking restraint.

Robert Evans is really into both-siderism.

Interdimensional Steve

The "both sides" argument is incredibly disingenuous and disgusting. Shame on this guy for pushing it so strongly.

blacktonystark

Surprise surprise the white guy (Robert Evans) doesn’t want white people punished for terrorism.
