Two things: 1. Yes, Citations Needed is phenomenal and everyone should listen to it, great shoutout. 2. I was curious about Bezos "stepping down" from his role as CEO, so I looked into where he now fit into its corporate structure. Essentially, there's a board of directors that's comprised of primary stakeholders of the company (headed by an executive chairperson) and there's a managerial board (CEO and other managers to whom tasks are delegated, like COO/President, CFO, etc.) that actually decides how the company is run day-to-day. The CEO reports to the board of directors (owners) who can fire him/her. There's often a lot of overlap between the two, since CEOs often own some portion, if not a significant portion, of the company they oversee. It's worth noting whenever "CEO steps down and will serve solely as executive chair" news flies around (see also Papa John, Bill Gates, Larry Page, etc., whenever they get bored or there's some PR disaster).

Between Amazon, Ubisoft, Marlyn Manson, and so many more... It's not the best mind set but I feel like I can vent this here... The Guillotine is a compromise all on its own. It is a whole lot more civilized than the dark parts of my mind crave. Long lost ancestors demand big rock solutions, down right biblical solutions. I know it's wrong, but every time one of these stories comes out, it takes a little more time to convince myself it's a wrong headed idea.
