God I need this episode. I live in Texas, DFW. Went without power for three days. Still don't have water. My neighbor who was recovering from covid died. We banded together and helped each other, but at one point I had to take the food out of the fridge and put it on the counter to keep it from spoiling, then I had to put the water in the fridge to keep it from freezing. Finally have power now and every time my heater stops running I tense up, cause my brain thinks the power is going out. Worse yet, we live on top of a hill. We could SEE all the damn upper class neighborhoods still had power, but we're a working class neighborhood they wanna gentrify so we got maybe an hours power total from those "rolling blackouts". Worst freaking weak of my life, and I am a cancer survivor. SO much shit happened. Anyhoo, long way to say I can't wait to listen to this and here you guys' perspectives. Side note: knowing liberals constantly talk about how voter ID laws and gerrymandering disenfranchise people and then seeing them say "welp you live in a red state, you got it coming" has engendered a bitterness in me as a progressive I will almost certainly carry into the 2022 and 2024 elections.

I'm not seeing it in the Patreon RSS Podcast feed. Would like to listen to it in my preferred podcast player

I enjoy getting a news on a Friday morning, thanks

We neuter our pets so their offspring don't end up in cages in shelters waiting to die, because there aren't enough homes for them. Your guest needs a visit to the freezer at an animal shelter that euthanizes homeless animals.

I saw Michael Swaim was on it and dropped everything. The band's back together!

The Joss Whedon allegations are from Buffy (season 5 or so), angel, and justice League showing a pattern over 15 years. (Just a clarification for the segment there) Justice league went through massive rewrites and reshoots under Whedon (used somewhere between 30 mins and an hour of snyder in a 2.5 he movie) where he basically cut the cyborg character (Ray Fisher made his issues with Whedon known to execs at the time, this character cut may have been in retaliation). The Nevers was created by Whedon, and he stepped down a week or 2 before Charisma Carpenter made her story public, he said something about family life.

Chocolate Mint is *not* boring and I will not stand for my favourite ice cream flavour to be maligned -- maligned, I say! -- in this manner.
