It's amazing how white police officers frequently express sympathy for the plight of mass murderers when they are young white males. Police responded in the same manner when they arrested white supremacist Dylann Roof after he had murdered 9 black people attending a Bible Study at a church. The other thing police do in mass murders motivated by racism is to mischaracterize the attacker was a "lone wolf" not part of a larger white supremacist movement.

Regarding how vaccinated people may still transmit: the metaphor I use is an oven mitt as vaccine; you may be protected from a burn, but you certainly can’t hand the pan to someone else unless they also have an oven mitt. Might need to be workshopped a bit, but I think there’s something there.
