Hi. In today's episode, Natalie Shure (@NatalieSurely) joins Katy and Cody to talk about why it's a terrible idea to make unvaccinated Americans pay more for health insurance and why it's good that Theranos' magic machine never got built. Plus, the whole group gets really into leaf peeping.

Gotta love Cody’s groan in the background just before getting into the dress story. 😂

How do you folks feel about/would you address the issue that people refusing to get vaccinated and ending up hospitalized has resulted in the deaths of individuals who couldn't get into ICU's because they are full of covid patients? A friend of mine recently lost someone close to them for a usually easily addressed health emergency, but they couldn't get into a hospital close enough, so it's a topic that's been on my mind.

Really surprised you guys didn’t just mention the Shabeebs pegging thing.

If Governor Newsom had broken lockdown by going to Taco Bell instead of a hoity toity restaurant, he would have been lauded as a regular guy who let the pandemic get on his last good nerve. It’s a fine line between Douchie McBigBucks and Joe Blow.

Natalie Shure is one of my favorite posters on Twitter. And I love her articles and Adam Ruins Everything. Best crossover of 2021!! 😃

Maybe it's because I live in Chattanooga TN, an area that has a very high unvaccinated population. But I'm having a difficult time reconciling my desire to maintain empathy for my fellow human beings and my full blown apathy towards willful ignorance. Marjorie Taylor Greene's district is literally a few blocks from my home. There are so many people who are proudly unvaccinated. they are willfully acting against the best interest of the community and crippling our health care system. The point that was made about removing moral decisions from health care is an excellent one. I honestly hadn't considered it. However, I'm so completely fed up with unvaxed Red Hats... Don't the rights of individuals end where the rights of others begin? How many people need to die from otherwise treatable conditions because they couldn't get ICU or ER services? At some point don't people's individual choices need to have consequences?

Katy, being sexually abused is not a death sentence. A person can recover. It takes lots of caring about yourself, seeking therapy, and time. Newsome has, as far as I can tell, and from what my sister has told me, been a good governor. My sister voted for him, and she is a card carrying Republican gun nut.My empathy for anti-vaxxers isscompletely gone. IMO, making them pay more for health insurance sounds like a great idea to me.
