God “Some This” is such a fucking funny title

That is so incredibly painful to watch!!! 😳🙈 how embarrassed I am for us.

Rogue

I like this one

Did this actually happen? I can't seem to find the original.

Okay, this is better than the Greta Thunberg one, you're clearly making fun of someone that's in a position of power. I'm not entirely sure if I get it though. Like, it's really obscure. I get that he's like... an old-timey dude. If that's it, you're just trying to make him look silly, I get that part of it, the whistling and coins jangling are pretty funny. But if there's meant to be a larger point being made it's lost on me, and that's weird because I'm used to your bizarre non-sequitir humour coming full-circle and turning into a metaphor for something. It always has a point in my experience.

Huh. Well then. I guess this is happening

"Guys, we really need to talk about the latest inflation numbirds..."

I mean, it’s fine, but you guys need to take into account Poe’s law. It’s very possible for this to end up as the next “slowing down Nancy Pelosi‘s words to make it seem like she was drunk in Congress”, considering half the country won’t stop spreading rumours about him having dementia. I like the idea of Some This in theory, but the execution seems to be proving pretty difficult.

did this really happen the way it's portrayed here?

I don't get why you're doing this. Is it to lampoon the Now This shorts? I get the parodying of the style, but it feels more like you saw an opportunity for parody but there's no apparent criticism of the original behind it. A criticism of Now This that I would make is that it doesn't do a great job of creating a conversation nor do they allow room for nuance. I kinda thought that parodying the lack of nuance was what you were going for with the Greta one but missed the mark, but this kinda feels like you're making fun of Biden for being old. I guess I could see just trying to have a laugh at the sheer unprofessionalness of it all, but... maybe after Trump I'm too broken to find that funny anymore... Anyway, I feel like this needs a better understanding of "why," you know what I mean? I should be able to get what your purpose was in making it, even if it was to be a more light-hearted bit of comedy for the channel. But for these the why isn't coming across.

This is powerful stuff.

I agree with Pineapple. I'm just not seeing the pull of Some This. I mean, I get it's meant for TikTok or Instagram, and I don't use those platforms, so maybe "the medium is the message" more than I give it credit for, but I don't get it. The beauty of art in compressed mediums is how much you can squeeze out of so little. This didn't feel like it was worth even a minute.
