Hi, woke moralists! In today’s episode, we take a look at Jordan Peterson through the lens of Jungian archetypes – just as he would want – and explore some of his other ideas about climate change, gender, marriage, hierarchies, and lobsters. Don’t check the timecode!

"Side note: there’s a whole section we cut from this of Peterson on Rogan talking about fracking, and how solar power is deadlier than nuclear because people fall off of roofs while installing it." That's at about 2h50m. I love it. I'm sure I would have enjoyed that segment too, but I appreciate the editorial discipline of trying to limit the discussion to the essentials. Jordan is a f***ing mess, indeed.

I just want you guys to know that I watched this very brief video last summer, and it was my liberation from the alt-right rabbit hole and led me to the gateway to the left. Thank you so much for what you do. In all seriousness it probably saved my life.

Chibigodzilla

I had this in the background today while doing chores but I had a realization listening to it. In that Vice interview where he's talking about "no makeup at work," he is almost certainly wearing makeup while he says that

Sandeep Saldanha

Damn thats a brief video. I dont think its long enough

Jared Pasqua

I know Cody doesn’t read the comments, but dammit someone does cuz I asked and you DELIVERED!!!

DaCoolestForeal

So his point about CC was that to determine what's causing it, you have to include EVERYTHING as a possible factor, is there a single scientific study thats ever done that before? Has this guy ever heard of the scientific method? My lord

Gonna have to quit my job to find the time to watch this. Gotta make my bed first.

Sammy Freeman

On behalf of all Canadians, sorry eh.

Jon Gellott

Oh my God I am... SO EXCITED TO HATE THIS

Nick

Lucy

The YT thumbnail.. the pain.. so much pain on those faces.. only one will be unfuckable.

Flatrabbit

A nearly three hour video about Jordan Peterson. Challenge accepted!!

April Hughes

The cognitive dissonance makes my head a'splode.

Salty Cookies

My favorite thing about this video is how brief it is. Really separates the wheat from the chaff.

A Cheese Pierogi

Three hours You absolute mad lads, bless your souls

Anveio

I patron'd because I thought this would be like 7 minutes or something, what a pleasant surprise

Lustful_Octopus

Which layer of the Turducken of False Facts are you I’m the Pareto Principle

Looks like I have three hours of playing Forza Horizon 5 and Power Wash Simulator while listening to Cody rant about Jordan Peterson in my near future...

My Dad fell deep into the JBP rabbit hole early in the pandemic. I tried to get him to read some of the articles sourced in this very video, but didn't have much luck. I got him to sit down and we just watched this entire episode in one sitting! Although he was apprehensive at the start, by the end he was quite impressed and definitely had his perspective adjusted. I know this must have been an insane amount of work to put together, it was excellently done!

Made of Stardust

This just proves to me you really DO read my diary. The real question is how, cause I only say I have one as a joke. Warmbo has mindreading?

Kitsune

I did NOT look at the time this video takes and popped it in at 2 am for a short bedtime watch. I realized my mistake at 3:30 XD But I love it - You did an amazing job and I did NOT feel the time it took at all with all the information and the structure. Some more news time - you are awesome and I applaud your hard work and skills. 💓

I had been waiting for this episode for soooo long... I first came across some of J. B. Peterson's videos suggested by the YouTube algorithm that undoubtedly figured me out then as a being single and open to tips about sustaining a healthy relationship. These videos were mainly excerpts from his college lectures and at first, I was seduced by Peterson's confidence and his seemingly "common sense" arguments. But the more content I watched, the more fishy it all felt, even though I couldn't quite put my finger on why. This was years ago. At the time, I was also watching Bill Maher's Real Time every week, intrigued by the concept of hearing the other side on a supposed liberal show. Then I came across Cracked, probably through its Honest Ads, which in turn lead me to Some News. I watched every Some News video, and then every Some More News video, and I have been listening to every Even More News podcast, the only podcast I listen to btw. And I have to say, I have been agreeing with you, Katy Stoll and Cody Johnston, perfectly. I have been impressed by the amount of research and the level of analysis you put into each subject you examine, as well as the passion with which you present them to us, since the very beginning. This is the reason why I payed attention when I first heard you criticize such influential people as Maher or Peterson. For context, I am a French and American cis hetero woman in her forties, but I am only American on paper; I was born and raised and have lived most of my life in France. I did however travel the world for a decade, working along the way to finance my next air fare, during which time I spent a few years working in tourism in the US, half of the year. It would then have been easy and logical for me to live in the US full time. I had a US passport, a SSN, I was "building credit" and earning more money than I ever had. But the idea of living surrounded by people who may carry a gun, or that of losing all of my hard earned savings if I ever were to get sick or break a bone were so ludicrous to me, coming from a country like France (strict gun laws, universal healthcare...), that I decided against it. It was then, in the early 2010's, that I started to become interested in US politics. Initially, I educated myself to be able to compare US politics to French politics, so that I could talk about it to the French tourists in my care. I was always on the (far) left, dreaming of a world more just, populated by responsible and solidary people who organize horizontally to solve their issues and produce their means of living. One of the main reasons I left France was the constant state of anger and sadness I was in as I helplessly witnessed the dismantlement of our socialist system by such neoliberal bigwigs as Sarkozy. You can imagine why Bernie Sanders turned out to be the very first politician in any country whom I believed in and admired : boy, did I feel the bern... All this to say that it took me a couple of years to catch up on US politics and policies and to know who to trust and why. Your team of progressive liberals was instrumental in that process and I am forever grateful to you. You have taught me so much these past few years but you have also teased me for the longest time about a J. B. Peterson deep dive. I have been worried about his influence over young people, especially young men among whom my own brother, I am sad to say. His charisma is undeniable: even I was charmed for a hot minute. He appears to have all the answers which is comforting in these times of global angst. He interrupts you and drowns you in his word salad when you push back on any of his dubious arguments, which makes him seem to win the debate. In other words, he is dangerous and the work you have done here is necessary. I only hope this video is accessible enough to change minds. I personally thought it was too short, but I worry it might be too long for people whose trust you haven't gained yet. As a side note, for people like me, would you consider uploading the content you have decided to cut from the final video to keep it under 3 hours? Please... Following your lead, I have kept my comment short and sweet. I hope you appreciate that 😋 Congrats on the video!

I’ve finished my first viewing, rewind… Gotta say, and this says more about me than it does about JP, but the way he cusses really annoys me. You can tell he’s trying to do it for emphasis, but it’s so childish. He cusses the way a 7 year old does. He’s heard the words before, and he vaguely knows how to use them, but they detract from his message rather than added to it. He needs a lesson from Cody on how to swear for dramatic effect. Unbelievable post y’all. I have no idea how many hours of listening pleasure I’ll get from this, but it’ll be days probably. So sorry you had to listen to his whiny nasal voice for so long to put this together. Y’all deserve a vacation.

Coal Cooper

my youtube home screen is now filled to the goddamn gills with Jordan Robinette Peterson content

I was out, now I am not. This episode was great. They all are. Damn you for piling on yet another Patreon! How about an annual plan with a discount? Eh, eh?!

LouBird

I got way too excited about Cody saying my hometown out loud. (Grande Prairie) I did know JBP went to college there. But dang, I was like HEY!!

Simon Brook

Just wow. Thanks for taking up such a brief amount of my time. Are you OK with me starting a bot that replies to any positive comment made about a Jorberson video with a link to this ? Brilliant work guys. Seriously- thank you.

Carl P Crossgrove

I had a lot of thoughts and comments about this, but let me leave it at: #1: BRAVO. Kudos to everyone for getting through this unpleasant material. I bet this took a lot of resources, patience and effort. Many thanks. #2: JP: OH,? Ma-GAAAAD what a slimy stinky tool he is. I know there are many monsters afoot in these times, but this kind of cowardly, snavely and genocidal creepery is hard to witness. As is mentioned, once you see his prevaricating, smarmy "just asking questions" persona, you can't un-see it. Building a brand on soft-pedaled white supremacy is the ultimate bitch move. Fuck this guy and fuck the other incel, WS genocide apologist twats who roll with him. Again, thanks for your good and substantial work!

Professor Hazard

I had to watch it a second time to see that it was the Funny Amount of Time that resulted in Cody swapping to an after-party tuxedo. I guess he went on Joe Rogan's show during the break?

Ala Aladdin

I used to be a Patron but because of money issues had to stop but after this video, I need to be a Patron again.

The Big Shakuna

Thank you news dude and crew for finally taking down this pseudo intellectual weirdo in video form. 3 hours…just wow….and also amazing…but also WOW. I truly feel for Cody’s mental health having to listen to so many clips of this obvious grifter that I feel we all owe him a beer…or perhaps a bracing shot of absinthe. Either way, thank you.

ThatsANiceHat

I actually watched this whole thing, and I think I might hate Doctor Mister Cody by proxy now? Can you license John Krasinski's entirely original concept for the next episode maybe?

Isaac Comer-Wyrd

(After watching all of it.) You know... Weirdly, it feels like this was maybe just barely long enough. Like I'm not gonna lie-- in the past, when you guys do super-long videos, they can. be hit and miss as to whether I feel like it needed to be that long. But this one did. This guy JP is an elaborately f***ed up SOB. It takes about three hours to at least properly summarize him. I like that you pulled in Benny Shaps at the appropriate moment too.

Sam Bishop

This is literally why I have kept the sub going even during really hard times (like recently, especially). Monetary recompense seems a little hollow as a means to say thanks (especially since I'm always slammed with work stuff when the hangouts happen and I could express my gratitude to your faces), but it's the most tangible way I can do it. THANK YOU for busting your asses so hard every week. These vids and the podcast are the highlight of my week, and I don't know if you hear it enough, but thank you thank you thank you for the passion and earnestness that is felt with every video. Once I've climbed out of the hole, I'mma rock some Warmbo merch for sure. Also, Jorp's a giga-weirdo, but as you rightly pointed out, he's just an old guy that is trying to make shit fit into a system he thought he'd figured out, and can't bear to admit has seams aplenty. Somewhere in there is a person who feels and wants to fix people without realizing he himself is far more broken. I hope he can get the care to help himself before he harms others with his faux-intellectual bullshit, but clearly the grift is paying off.

Marissa Lopez

First, when Cody made a comment a few weeks back about a 2 and a half hour JP episode, I thought he was joking. He was not joking. Second, great call out about this episode on The Minority Report yesterday. And damn, 3 hours.

Marissa Lopez

4 days released to the public and over a MILLION views. Congrats!!

Carapils4life

Been enjoying your stuff for a while now, but this vid convinced me to become a patreon. Incredibly well done!
