I got the first sketch!

I'm still in the middle of writing/editing the next chapter, but I wanted to share this as an entirely separate post for you all! And because I couldn't keep it to myself any longer.

So I'm making this post to drain some of the jitters!

Now, of course, this is just the first sketch, so there's still lots of detailing to do, not to mention coloring. But holy shit, isn't it amazing already?!

I can't help but feel that the artist absolutely nailed Emilia, even down to the pointy claw-like nails.

And her tail! Oh my god her tail. I love it so much!

Anyways. Uh... yeah, I'm excited.

There's still a way to go. This artist isn't a book cover artist, but I did ask for it to be portrait so it could easily be turned into a book cover. I'll have to hire someone else to handle that, and I also have someone in mind for the typography (the words on the cover, if you didn't know what that was until now—I didn't.)

So... still some ways to go yet, but it's still so cool!!! I'm not sure how long it'll take to be done with everything and have a functional book cover, but... it's coming!

Okay... alright. I think I got some of the nerves out of my system. Back to the chapter haha.
