Victoria A Wilder

Your empathy is always so lovely to see. I don't like Emma's argument that they would have been together (can't remember if it's this or the first episode where she says that, currently watching the 3rd)...but, like...Regina was coming to kill her. If they hadn't sent her away, she'd be dead. Regina would have either killed her in the Enchanted Forest just before the curse hit, or she would have known where she was after it hit and killed her then. There was no reality where, if Snow and Charming hadn't sent Emma away, she'd be with them. That argument always bugs me because no one mentions it. Charming was bleeding out when they sent her away...he would have remained in a coma if they hadn't. They would not have been together whatsoever.

Agreed. It's not a particularly rational viewpoint, but I understand why she feels that way. 30 years of abandonment issues don't disappear just because you learn you weren't truly abandoned at all and were always loved and wanted. I think it's more an attempt at rationalization to justify lingering feelings she intellectually understands aren't justified by the situation but she still can't help but feeling.
