Spent more time editing this week than recording, mainly because my landlord had a lot of kids over, screaming loudly, for multiple days. It's a little frustrating that what she claimed would be "babysitting sometimes on the weekends" has turned into "every weekend, and sometimes during the week." The kids also keep disturbing me because they want to see my dog, so I'm probably going to have to have an uncomfortable discussion with my landlord about her keeping the kids out of my hair. Hopefully next week I'll be able to find more recording time.

Being nosy....Um so, how would you feel about moving....again? I'm sure it sucks, but once that roommate said she babysits in the house, that's an automatic "hell no" for me because it's a straight up liability. What if the kid gets hurt in the house? What if Pixie had enough, and bit them out of self defense? Is she even certified to have a "daycare" in her home? I don't know; this does not sound as ideal as I initially thought.

The lease is only for 6 months, and I'm definitely trying to move when the time comes. Sooner if I can manage it. The kids she babysits are nieces, so it's not exactly a daycare situation, but it's definitely not what she described to me. Currently the two kids have been in the home for over 24 hours. They slept in the living room, which is open plan with the kitchen, meaning my access to the kitchen was restricted all night. I couldn't even cook anything without waking them up, so I ate pop-tarts all night and couldn't record a single thing. She also doesn't respect my privacy and has weird boundary issues, in that she thinks it's okay to go into my room when I'm gone and take my dog outside without permission, stuff like that. It's a very uncomfortable situation because she does not understand her role as landlord and is not providing what I'm paying for. It's very frustrating, indeed.

Is it too much of a hassle to take Pixie wherever you go as a service dog? That's so messed up to handle someone else's dog without permission. Sheesh! 6-month lease? Whoa, most roommate leases are month-to-month. Well, bless you. I hope you can make the best of the situation. Pop Tarts is the dinner of champions.
