This show was definitely ahead of its time. One of the things you touched on, the fast pacing, is definitely more suited for streaming, because you can go back and easily rewatch. It didn’t connect as well with audiences in the pre-streaming era, so that’s one of the reasons it didn’t last very long, and I’m assuming why it didn’t do well. You can definitely see its influence on later shows like the office, parks and rec, modern family, etc. It’s too bad too, because it’s so damn good!

So glad you guys appreciated Lucille laughing at her own joke about the hospital not having a bar. Her character is just absolutely perfect. Jessica Walter was phenomenal.

LOL I think this was the episode I realized Lucille Bluth is my favorite character. And she just gets better and better!

The cast is so stacked that an entire episode without the arguably funniest character doesn't feel any different or lackluster. I remember not even noticing that Tobias wasn't in this one when I first watched it.

Jono Taylor

He’s also Ron Howard’s brother , the voice narrating.

Kirsten Stewart

Liza is fantastic as Lucille 2, aka the brown area… with points 😂 One of my favourite lines in this ep was when GOB was stabbed by White Power Bill… “But I’m white” I love this show with its cast of unhinged and hilarious characters, so happy you guys are enjoying it too

Jackson Potluck

Job is a book/character in the Bible. Not a place

Phill Silva

What I say about this show is it is the most layered comedy, they put groundwork for jokes that don’t pay off for like two seasons later

Jessica Walter’s was a goat, brilliant in this and Archer and surely more. RIP.
