I watched a semi-recent GQ interview with Jason Segel and he brought up the end of this episode. He said they didn’t put the ending in the script bc it was the era of lots of leaks, and he told the directors that he didn’t want to know anything. Possible ideas were lily being pregnant, his dad dying, them moving, lily wanting a divorce. It was a single take, one of the best in the series IMO.
