I believe outie Irv is staying awake all night on purpose in an attempt to get a message to his innie through his subconscious. How the heck does outie Irv know about the testing floor!?

One thing that I picked up on in this watch that I never noticed before is that the very first time we see Irv dose off and start seeing the black goop- there is an electric guitar playing in the music. I think thats the only time I remember them using it- is it easier to bleed memories through other senses?

We're going straight into it." LOL just wait until the end of the next episode (the finale)... I had to wait THREEEEEEE YEEEEEARS for season 2!

You're right Nick, when Dylan is setting up the Overtime Contingency there are a bunch of other system function names visible and one of them I feel gives legs to one of Damo's theories. I don't know if you guys want to know stuff like that though since you can't pause when you watch. Let me know if you do!

My take on Dylan's glass cube is that it's something that to Lumon just looks like he was jealous of the one they gave Mark, but he just wanted some motivation to look at to remind himself why he's doing this, it's for his innie family 💚

About how Milchick acts I think he is the perfect cooperate representation, he acts all jolly inside, smiles from ear to ear at all times, saying they are all one big family but it is all fake, the smile the kindness and all. His real self comes out as things get more serious, he becomes a soulless cooperate man who doesn't care about what people might feel when he says hurtful stuff to them.

When I first watched this episode the waffle party sex show really bothered me, tbh it still does but for other reasons now (what if the outie has a partner?). I thought it was ridiculous at first but now I sort of understand that it's part of the insane cult vibes they're giving to Lumon and the Eagans. The 4 dancers were dressed as the 4 tempers that Kier is depicted taming in one of the paintings: Woe, Frolic, Dread and Malice. In the painting he is holding a whip.

What I interpreted from "non traceable keycard" was that Reghabi hacked it so that it was untracable but might have thought wrong.

So the song Irving listens to is Ace of Spades by Motorhead, a song I’m very familiar with. In the earlier episodes where Irv was seeing the paint coming down the music they play is very different from the regular Severance music. It drove me crazy because it seemed familiar. After I watched this episode it clicked- the song that plays during Irv’s dozes is a way slowed down version of Ace of Spades!

Oh I only caught that they use the electric guitar there and I don't think anywhere else in the show, didn't know it actually was Ace of Spades!

I think that Dylan wanted the picture cube with him to remind him of the "camaraderie" in the group - from the book (which we know he knows well) - "Most linguists agree it comes from the Latin ‘camera,’ which means ‘a device used to take a photograph.’ And of course, the best photographs are not of individuals, but of groups of happy friends, who love each other deeply. But I think camaraderie is more than smiling together in photos, it’s standing together in hard times. It’s recognizing a common struggle in another person, and reaching out to offer them a loving hand."

Radar is the name of Irving’s dog and in one of the wellness sessions Irving was told he loves listening to Radar, or something along those words.

Because of this revelation I’m inclined to believe that maybe some of Ms Casey’s facts are true, just weirdly obtuse. She says something about Irv being popular at dances and I decided in my head canon that he sometimes goes out to clubs or gay bars and does pretty well for himself there 😂

sorry this is so long! mark found helly in the elevator and graner came running. it’s easy to forget, but we saw part of it from two security cameras- one by judd’s desk (he wasn’t there) and another from the severed floor seating area. there must be a camera in the clock, because the visible ones are on the side walls. that’s how natalie got the pictures. those were deviled eggs at the party. it’s a popular appetizer w boiled eggs whose yolks are removed, usually mixed w mayo, mustard and seasonings and replaced in a decorative manner. you guys would understand the four tempers and nine core principles if you read the lexington letter and MDR orientation handbook! speaking of which, the bins the refiners put the numbers in are divided into: WO woe FC frolic DR dread and MA malice. the painting burt and irv talked about when they met showed kier taming the four tempers w a cat o nine tails (whip) representing the nine core principles. the sexy waffle party dancers recreate one side of the painting at the end. dylan was on the bed w a kier mask and cat o nine tails. we can only imagine he was supposed to do some taming! irv lives at leonora lake (leonora eagan was a CEO). it looked like he and radar were in a green area in the neighborhood. i assumed outie irv was painting the elevator to the testing floor every night to try to infiltrate innie irv’s mind, but it’s coming through in a different way. i believe cobel’s husband is made up. edited to say i think gemma’s candle may be christmas themed and that’s why it’s half green.

You know you live in a backwards world when Ricken's book is your source of truth and inspiration 😂Those poor Innies. I like how Damo got "take her back" and Nick got "take her down". Cobel said "take her back down". You two working as a team, even when you don't realize haha Those photos in the elevator were from a security camera - it's definitely blurry/bad quality, and the photos are from a little above Helly's head (while hanging, so definitely up higher than a human could hold up a camera) and further back away from the elevator. You can see the elevator button in the photo Natalie is holding - when the innies get onto the Severed floor, there is a camera pointing right at the elevator - that security camera would likely be the one that produced those photos. I'd guess that Graner's death has prompted The Board to do a bit of digging, and that they likely found that footage on a security tape and printed the photos from there.

I don’t know if your theory about Lumon finding people in therapy is right or wrong, but I do think you’re into something with what draws people to Lumon. It’s the idea that nobody joins a cult- they’re just at a vulnerable point and that cult exploits that vulnerability by filling a void. Mark needs to forget, Kobel seems to be mourning or searching for Charlotte. Based solely on their innie’s, Irv seems to crave a higher purpose or religion, and Dylan seems to crave structure and positive feedback. Anyway, just a thought. Cults gonna cult.

I have a crazy theory about Helly ... her outtie is the only one we haven't seen....until this flash of her at some type of fancy dinner party....they have intentionally kept her outtie from us...maybe its because she is....🤔 I also saw on the tag on the breathing tube not only did it say Charlotte Coble but there was a DOB... I swear the year was in the 1940's but I couldn't be sure. Why does Coble know so much about the severed and she is so invested in testing Mark and Ms. Casey? Also the whole removal of Petey's chip and her making a necklace of it. Why would she be made supervisor of the Severed floor unless there is something more that I'm missing? Ricken is so freaking odd...I'm beginning to think he is the occasional comedic relief to give us a break from the intensity.

- Milchick acts and speaks sometimes weird and not like a normal person. I think he's either a person who has been severed for a very long time. Or he grew up in the Kier cult and wasn't properly socialized. - So many people in the inside and the outside world are weird and maybe the whole town of Kier is a big experiment and everybody is severed or a Kier cult member. I also thought, that something about Alexa was strange. But I also wonder, why Devon seems to be so normal. - I think Lumon targeted their employees long before. Maybe they first recruited them for other jobs to move to Kier, because they had characteristics that made them interesting for Lumon. Maybe Mark and also Gemma moved there because they got great job offers as professors at the college, but Lumon had already planned to get them severed. And maybe Devon only moved there because of Mark. - If Lumon has targeted all the people long before they became severed, they maybe kind of prepared them for their purposes. I think, like Nick, Gemma's candle represents the Lumon colours. Maybe she took some craft classes, where she made all the crafts in the box, including the candle. But what if Lumon was behind these classes, and let the participants create things they could later use for experiments. - I think Dylan took the 3D picture with him, because the others are kind of a family to him and looking at the picture gives him strength.

i discovered it after it started, but i think it was about halfway through. i got my husband to watch, but he doesn’t get into shows the same way. then i found out a friend of mine was just as obsessed and that’s the *only* person i’ve had to talk to about it. my life has been so - let’s say action packed- that although i’ve read a bunch of stuff online and watched some videos, i never looked into podcasts! 🤦🏻‍♀️ also, w adhd i cycle through interests and miss things.

The lack of people supervising the Innies has always been hard for me to fully grasp. I get the hubris angle a bit but it just feels off. I mean even at full strength, there was supposedly only 3 people

Theory: regarding "Irving B" and the dark hallway, my theory is it is not the innie trying to get a message to his outie, but his outie trying to get a message to his innie. I think "Irving" has been down there or has knowledge of it and is trying to steer "Irving B" there. That is why "Irving" is staying awake at night drinking large amounts of coffee, playing loud music to stay awake and painting only one thing: to break down the walls between the conscious and subconscious to get a singular message to Irving B.

I always thought Cobel's "so I can leave if I'm uncomfortable or afraid" line was to highlight the hypocrisy/evil of Lumon as it's not something she (or the company, or some outies) would allow the innies to do.

I’ve watched this so many times but just picked up on something… is Ben Stiller the voice for 1980s computer flying Kier after Helly hits 100%? It sounds a LOT like him! A bit of his Dodgeball character thrown in, but subdued.
