Yes that’s Alia Shawkat as Gwendolyn, the actress who played Maeby! Also: deactivating the elevator wouldn’t do anything. The elevator doesn’t cause the switch, it’s moving to the upper floor that triggers the Outie personality. That’s why the stairwell works the same way. The access to memories are “spatially dictated”

Keanu Reeves was the voice of the Lumon building. A lot of people picked up on that right away. I didn’t. Also, there aren’t 206 countries in the world. 😂

I loved (and hated) that we only get to see the Innie pov in the first episode. We leave off with them just as they're about to be turned off again, and then we wait 3 years (or 5 days) and we're DYING to know what happened, and they show us, but don't really show us. And who knows what we can believe. This is their version of what happened, who knows what we can trust.

mark started going to MDR, then went towards wellness. i’m dying to know who was following him! the jar in the kitchenette holds tokens for the vending machine. we saw dylan use them before. the new painting in front of the elevator is titled “kier pardons his betrayers,” which sounds as threatening as it’s meant to be. you have to love dylan’s revisionist history about irv and burt: “i encouraged the courtship.”

I always felt the opening scene with Mark was like dropping a panicked rat into a maze and it doesn't know which direction to run until it calms down a bit.

My interpretation is that it has been only couple of days but told Mark S that it has been 5 months, because Milkshake is only settling in the office and the computer still has Ms. Cobel on it.

Is Mark's work sorting now keeping Gemma's alive? If so is that his incentive to stay? Thats what I took from the ending scene. Edited because I'm an idiot...been thinking and unless Mark knew his sorting of the numbers into the humors were keeping her alive it wouldn't be an incentive. But there must be a connection between the sorting and Gemma.🤔

the person in the hallway seems to be wearing a suit w a white shirt and has a lighter skin tone than milchick, who’s seen wearing a blue turtleneck right after.

Ms Huang's casting!! I feel like the gal playing Ms Huang is so good! She holds a stoic face better than Milchick sometimes! I will be honest, if I were in Helly's shoes, I'd be hesitant to share that I'm an Eagan. I'd be stuck in a room with three people who hate my family and the company that I'm slated to run someday... yeah nah I'll keep that info to myself until I feel safe/comfortable enough to share that.

Irv needs an innie for his sad innie. Severanception. Maybe Miss Huang or Milchick gets tracking notes on their computer from the key cards. We learned that they could track Cobel in the security room when she was leaving her office. The ending song is fantastic. It's one of my favorites in different versions since I first heard it at the opening of Blues Brothers 2.

You're still on the same level in the stairwell. It's always seemed like a location-based electronic control. It's like Geo locked to the floor but is stopped or blocked at the walls of the stairwell. It also would explain how they can shoot a signal to wake specific innies up wherever they are out in the regular world.

In the new version of the Severance floor, they don't seem to be rationing tokens anymore. More of we're not your jailers. Makes you wonder why you need tokens at all. They already seem to imply that Dylan is going to go to town on the snacks from the claymation video. Yay! Fruit leather!

If you pause on the newspaper that Milchick shows Mark, it is the Kier Chronicle and it looks like their photo is the office group photo photoshopped onto a historic photo from a celebration of the end of WWII or something. I was curious to see what the article said but most was redacted, which I didn’t realize when they showed it in real time. So curious to see what happens next. I feel so bad for Irv.
