Very famous early 1900's broadway musical and song called 45 minutes from Broadway...I think the title is a play on that.

Uh, also an American and I’ve absolutely heard the term “tailgate party” many times in my life. It’s worth mentioning that the US is massive, and there are lots of terms used in parts of the country that aren’t used anywhere else. There are actually tests online that can pinpoint sometimes to the exact city where someone grew up based on which terms and pronunciations they use. I was almost 30 before I found out some people here call shopping carts “buggies”.
