Not sure why you guys didn’t have subtitles, but the Korean couple were trying to find his suitcase but she found the wrong one, then he told her to clean herself up and ended with “I love you.”

Great catch that we're probably going to have lots of backstories to learn just like we did in this episode with Kate. I think a broad message of LOST is 'You can't judge a book by it's cover.' Be prepared to have your favourites and those you hate- and then watch them flip! 💚

A fun fact as you mention the pilot dying, originally when the show was being conceived Jack was going to be played by a big star like Michael Keaton and be killed like the pilot was and Kate would have filled his role more. ABC rejected this and so they cast Matthew Fox, though a nice little leftover bit to this is when Charlie and Kate are looking for Jack and find the pilots body before Jack comes in behind them. Can’t wait for the next few episodes as you learn more and more names of the castaways and their stories

The Korean should have subtitles when they’re speaking privately to each other, but no subtitles when they’re in a group where other people are speaking English. (That’s how it originally aired.)

Lol, I was going to bring up the musical cues (one of my favorite things, as you remember from Game of Thrones) but you guys were all over it! This show is one of the best with matching the score to what's going on and bringing back previous themes when certain characters are being/or are about to be shown, so I'm so glad y'all are loving it!

You did well with you Korean translation assumptions, but there are upcoming episodes with significant portions of dialog in Korean and you will need to have the subtitles. I watch on Disney+ with English subtitles and I’m seeing the translation so Maybe turn on subtitles and see if that helps?

Fun bit of trivia: the actors who played Charlie and Kate were actually dating for a good chunk of the show. They met on set.

Oh, since you didn't have subtitles, you may have missed the Korean man calling his wife by her name - Sun. Do you guys ever go back and read your notes after a show to see if any of your early theories were right? Or just to laugh at how horribly you got it all wrong? I bet some of those would be fun with shows like this one, and Severance. 😊

Now we've started off with Kate, you'll notice that basically every episode for a while is going to be showing flashbacks focusing on the character backstories, and they usually focus on one character in each episode. I really enjoy how much they delve into the histories this way.

I don't think Mr Locke told Walt to keep a secret. Walt's dad asked him "did he tell you to keep it from me?", then Walt told him that the secret was that a miracle happened on this island.

He asked Walt "Do you want to know a secret?" We didn't see if Locke told him not to tell anyone though, Walt might have assumed he shouldn't

I teared up during the outro of the episode haha. Wow. Downloading that song now. Beautiful song, beautiful scenes of compassion, building friendships and accepting and overcoming what is. And than of course that mysterious shift in music and ending scene

Not a lot to add to what others have said. I will say that Terry O'Quinn (John Locke) is such an underrated and fantastic actor and regardless of what you think about the character it is played to perfection the entire series. A US Marshall would not receive a reward for arresting her. Back stories will come in time but not necessarily all at once. One day in the future I'll tell you what I think of Sawyer.

The music in this show does heavy lifting in so many ways. I quickly realized that it not only dropped clues but also red-herrings. Gianchino was specifically asked to lead viewers down blind alleys at times.

I wouldn’t say it’s best not to have first impressions, without first impressions you can’t have your feelings for characters develop and change with the storylines and development and arcs of said characters.

I was wondering, Im watching on Hulu and have the subtitles. By the way, LOST, and Mad Men, are my favorite shows of all time. This is my 5th time watching LOST now
