This show is your worst nightmares! Plane crashes, bees and moths! Also seeing the thumbnail image playing out had me Leo pointing meme. I would definitely be team Caves since Jack went there and he’s a doctor, plus the sun coverage. Jack did mention that the caves had better shelter to avoid predators too.

Kristin Carter

The Moth! Why yes, I am ready to cry today! I would also be in the caves. I would have actually been there before Jack, lol. I need way too much water and there's no way I could have been out under that sun with no sunscreen for 6 days straight - I'd be lobster red.

JASON

Thanks to our Entomologist Damo dropping some sad facts about insects early on the video. That will get me going. 😭😆😆

Weird Magic

Originally airing on November 3, 2004, "The Moth" is Episode 7 of Season 1 of LOST. It is the 7th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.3, placing it as the #15 ranked episode of this season and #4 out of all the episodes shown so far.

I'd be team beach at this point! Need the hope! Also I'm extremely blind without my glasses so I'd be very useless no one would include me in the adventures

JASON

On my first watch of Lost, I always thought Jack was all about survival and had zero time for romantic shit. So when Damo said hes gay and asked Nick, “Am I onto something or am I crazy?" Yeah, Damo. You’ve been crazy for quite sometime. 😂💀 We love your craziness though. ❤️❤️

Kristin Carter

An hour and a half just isn't long enough, I could listen to y'all talk about LOST all day!

RA

Cant wait for the next one

DN Reacts

It was definitely one of my more unhinged outros 😂 Don’t worry, I’ve drawn up a comprehensive suspects board for who attacked Sayid for Friday’s intro 😂

tiramisujen ≽^•⩊•^≼

Honestly its a very interesting thought! Jack is basically the lead and he's not really got many of the traits that you'd consider stereotypically gay so it would be very progressive! It's really fun seeing you guys watch this with 2026 brains opposed to 2004 brains :P

QuasiRNG

Backstory Scoreboard: D- 1/1, N-1/1 😄😇

Weird Magic

Love the spreadsheet, not saying to get away from keeping the secrets sorted. However, one of the things people think Lost does is not answer mysteries (I disagree, but it is a claim). Maybe a second tab on the spreadsheet that covers any of your "unanswered major questions" that can be added to and crossed off during the journey?

DN Reacts

I wouldn’t rule that out 😂

DN Reacts

Yeah it definitely has a way of reminding you of phobias and past trauma 😂

DN Reacts

Yeah the hope is so important at this point!

Ambrosia

Don't mind me asking about the spreadsheet, I'm a spreadsheet junkie, it may not be popular opinion to see it every time 😂 This episode tugs at my heart strings, and Charlie's smile when he feels like a human for the first time in a long time is perfect. His first step after feeling this way is choosing to have power over his life, and Locke did exactly what he needed to do to give Charlie that power. ❤️

Demanda

Ehh I think assigning the ultimate blame to anyone but Charlie for his addiction is a mistake and sort of undermines the point of these flashbacks. Yes, Liam absolutely played a part in his drug use, but it’s easy to see Liam as the villain because we didn’t get a flashback of what was going on with *Liam* at the point in his life that he started using. When you talk to addicts you learn that they pretty much all had a moment like Charlie had, where they made a fateful decision out of pain that led them down a bad path. One of the major themes of Lost is that it’s very easy to make a judgment about someone’s character by measuring them against a generic standard, but when we learn the details and nuance of another person’s story we learn to empathize with them. The show likes to purposely give us surface information about people and situations that they know will naturally lead us to one conclusion, and then show us flashbacks that challenge that conclusion and allow us to question our preconceived notions. All of that to say: if Charlie’s addiction is Liam’s fault, then Liam’s addiction is the fault of whomever got Liam into drugs, and so on and so forth. Either no one is fully responsible for their own actions, or we all are. 🤷🏻‍♀️

DN Reacts

I definitely don’t think Charlie has zero responsibility for his addiction. My point was more that Liam treated Charlie terribly and played a significant role in creating the circumstances that led Charlie there. Charlie still made the choice to take the drugs, just as Liam ultimately made the choice to get clean. I actually think that’s why Locke giving Charlie the heroin back is so important as Charlie has to make the choice himself.

TLC

"They are leaving all these holes" And you guys are diving into every one of them head first!!🤣 As for the Sayid assault, you've asked all the right questions...it shouldn't be hard to figure out. I have a diagram that I'm saving until you ask for it or the show is over....its way too early now.🤣

Olivia McGowan

I’m watching the intro with my partner right now and I swear to god at the 5 min mark when you’re discussing going with jack vs sayid and Damo is arguing for the beach, I said both “oh okay” and “yeah fair enough” completely in unison with Nick in the exact same tone of voice 🤣🤣 made us both chuckle

Merri-gal

Mr. Science in the Intro for the win. I would follow Jack. Stay with the Doc. And YES to the tracker! It’s Nick’s turn to serenade us.

Merri-gal

That’s some broken gaydar.

Merri-gal

Agreed Before this is over they’ll be bungee jumping into theories, tethered only by spreadsheets and the need to do Intros and Outros😁

Tobias Keezy

D&N, please keep a look out for the Scott/Steve thing whenever it comes up. It's a running joke that the characters always get it mixed up. Charlie was saying that he needed Liam to come with him to reunite Driveshaft for the deal. But he was going to LA to play gigs in someone else's band

Matt108

As tempting as it is to binge, watching two a week is going to give you the right amount of time to digest and theorize (and create suspect boards and spreadsheets!)

Daniel Holzschuh

Love like dislike by the episode then every ten episodes or so do for the whole show to that point

Melissa Redstag

I looked up the Atlas Moth. Very large. Very creepy.

immapotat

love watching ppl watch this show and talk about it. so much fun

tiramisujen ≽^•⩊•^≼

Man there's too much to keep track of 😂 we've graduated from note taking to spreadsheets :P What's next? We love it for the most in depth conversations from reactions but I'm concerned about overwhelming the guys with a million things to go over in the intros/outros

Firestarter

I havent seen all of you videos, and 114 episodes are still down the road, but Im pretty sure Lost is your best reaction so far.

Kab

man the ending made me tear up. The moth is a great analogy, it's so powerful

Kab

I finished my meal I prepped for the episode during the intro haha. Love it

Weird Magic

agree with the overwhelming - I think the love/like/hate thing will get redundant (and they are having trouble already figuring out how and when to do that one).

Sarah_M

Such a great character episode for Charlie. That interaction between Liam and Charlie before he gets on a plane that goes down is just... so heart breaking for both of them.
