Okay, this might sound weird. My father passed the day before yesterday, and I find I suddenly have  so much TIME on my hands. Now, I still go over to visit my step-mother every day to see if she needs anything, or if there is something around the house I need to take care of, but that 8AM to 4 PM slot of time is now completely open. I just go once a day, and we haven’t tied that time down yet.

I have more time to write, but I have to retrain my brain to utilitize it all over again. So I feel a little lost, but I’ve made the decision not to worry about it until next week. I have things that need to be done right now, and I have two med appts to go to. But after Monday… I don’t know. Maybe I can start to be productive again.

Fortunately, I did write enough chapters ahead to get me through January. One thing I don't have to worry about.

The adjustment does take time for sure! When my dad died, it took me 2 months to settle into a new lifestyle rhythm between family and work! Try not to be too hard on yourself and lean on your support groups when you need to! 🫂

I believe you'll get through this and find a new routine that works. Just take some time to process everything. You deserve it.
