I think I've settled on Ms Patriot being the heroine. She is the Champion of Justice, and the story will be she having NEVER been defeated, or been captured, so it is all new territory for her. That is the beauty of a series that is NOT ongoing, and which resets to default after every book.

So that decided. Now, Point of View. I've written every single story as 3rd person, Omnipotent POV or 3rd Person close POV. I'm sure you've noticed the head hopping. I believe I am good at showing you whose head we're in (if not, please let me know).

I have written a lot of 1st person POV with other pen names (Fantasy, vigilante justice, zombie books), but I've never written a super heroine book in First Person.

First Person POV - it is the main character's point of view all of the time, what she feels, what she thinks, every step of the way it is her telling the story as it happens. No looking into other heads, though there can be other scenes with other POVs either first or third.

What POV do you want this ongoing story to be? First Person, or my usual omnipotent?

I prefer, with your writing style, to read the omnipotent POV. If, however, you decide to write it "thriller"style, it would be more appropriate for 1st person, I suspect. That way, the reader will be in as much suspense as the heroine.

Oh to see what the heroine is actually thinking through her journey...that sounds Intriguing!!!! To hear what she is thinking as she "Suffer's" at the hands of her assailants! But then your normal writing is Always SO DAMN GOOD.....that is a difficult decision!!

1st person, especially if you crank up the humiliation aspects. The "problem" with the Ms. Pariot series is that she goes from "no" to "yes/enthusiastic consent" in a blink of an eye. If there is a big build up before the main event, first person would be perfect. A longer build up with some of the more typical humiliation aspects, along with her witnessing another's humiliation and breaking, would be perfect in 1st person. Imagine she is captured with another heroine. Or heck, if they are slaves why not a villainess? Both are humiliated. Externally she puts up a brave front, but we know she is embarrassed (and getting aroused) inside. She watches the other heroine get ravished, and watches her futile resistance but then fall into ecstasy. She thinks to herself "I'm not like that slut, I won't ... etc etc" When her time comes the slavers find her very wet and mock her, embarrass her. (I think everything up to this point wont get you banned on Amazon) When her ravishing comes she, internally (1st person) is fighting her amazon instincts, not wanting to be like the other one. (That previous bit will be trickier to pull off if you want to publish it to Amazon. I hate Amazon. Sigh. But I guess that's where the $$$ is...)

That's great Don! So glad you are going to break free from the Zon censorship overlords for this one. With that in mind, I hope you can tone down the "Ms. Patriot immediately gives enthusiastic consent" gimmick you use to avoid the Zon ban hammer. Hell, I hope you go a little past Dub-con and a bit into non-con... okay, I guess not all the way, cuz that's not your genre, but at least tip-toe in. At least the mouth says no, but what's under the costume says yes sort of thing. Hah

P.S. I don't think it's obvious that the Ms Patriot series resets every time. Maybe at the start of the book you can set the table with Ms Patriot saying something like "I have heard of other Heroines having "problem XXXX", but I am so glad that I have not suffered anything of the sort so far"

Alex2000

P.P.S maybe a solution to the first person or not debate is to have some chapters told from Ms. Patriot's first person POV, but other chapters told from other characters 3rd (or 1st) person POV. This strategy is not unheard of.

Looks like the we are trending toward keeping the current POV I write: Omnipotent POV.
