Chapter 36

Sugar Town, Saturday, 10:38 PM…

A dark shape descended out of the night sky above to softly land upon the dark, empty roof deck atop the House of Joy. Uber Woman dropped into a crouch, arms wide, as she scanned the roof for danger. Her heart raced, breaths coming fast and shallow. She knew the BDSM sex club had security cameras up there, but could they see in the dark? Did they have infrared or passive night vision?

She hurried over to the door. It was locked. Steel. A heroine proof door. Dammit.

Uber Woman lifted up off the roof deck, and went over the side to look into one window after another. The entire top floor was a luxury penthouse. Mistress Tabitha’s residence before Ms Patriot usurped her. Until that night, Uber Woman hadn’t notice the penthouse lights on.

Is Mistress Patriot up here?

Angry shouts erupted, then the screams of a woman. Silver Angel? So Uber Woman whipped up and over to the alley. She spotted Silver Angel surrounded by nine large House of Joy bouncers in all black. The silver-clad heroine was like a beacon of light surrounded by shadowy men.

Silver Angel was barely holding them off. She fought desperately, with all she had because the blonde heroine understood what was at stake for her. They evil men were much more casual about it. They had Silver Angel exactly where they wanted her.

What is wrong with you? Uber Woman thought. Then she remembered. Silver Girl.

Word on the street was Silver Girl started working full time in the BDSM sex club the previous night.

One of the men behind Silver Angel lunged in and grabbed the end of her long blonde hair, jerking her head back. Uber Woman’s breath caught, but her sister in crime-fighting spun, throwing a silver-booted leg up and over to break his hold. Then a quick kick to his chin sent him stumbling back, before two others lunged at her from behind and forced her to turn back to defend herself. The bouncers all moved back, before another, then another attacked.

Uber Woman recognized the bouncers’ tactic. A very good one. They had the busty heroine surrounded and were conducting brief attacks one at a time to wear her out. Eventually, she’d be too exhausted to withstand them, and then they would take her down.

And she will join Silver Girl as a sex slave in the House of Joy. Uber Woman frowned and shook her head. Not on my watch.

“Is this a private party, or can anyone join in?” she shouted down into the alley.

Uber Woman dropped feet first down behind the bouncers. The men looked up and shouted. Her stilettos struck the concrete like a rifle going off, rattling the previously overconfident men. Silver Angel didn’t hesitate, spinning into a savage attack of the two men separating the two heroines. Uber Woman attacked the same two men, and together they KOed them both.

She swept Silver Angel up in her arms, and flew straight up.

“Hey, why’d you do that? We were winning,” Silver Angel protested, trying to wiggle free. “Put me back down this instant.”

“It was a no win situation,” Uber Woman said. “Oh, we could’ve trashed all of those boys in the alley, but I’m sure Mistress Patriot has already hidden the captured sidekicks. So we weren’t going to rescue anyone tonight, and going inside could be our last acts as heroines. Remember what happened last time we went inside?”

“But… My daughter is in there!”

She nodded, eyes tearing up. “I know.”

Actually, that was the first time she had confirmation that Silver Angel and Silver Girl were mother and daughter. She had suspected, of course, since they looked so much alike and had the same voices.

Uber Woman flew over to a safe rooftop. They landed on a bank’s roof, bathed in moonlight. Silver Angel looked disheveled, but quickly got herself back together. Uber Woman survived relatively put together, thanks to wearing her long platinum hair in a thick braid down her back.

“Okay. I’m good now. Can you fly me to the House of Joy’s roof? I think Silver Girl might be up in the penthouse.”

“No, she’s not,” she said. “I was just checking, looking in through the windows, and didn’t see anyone up there. Good thing, too, since you bit off more than you can chew, girlfriend.”

“I was fine. I have to get inside and save my… Silver Girl.”

“I know. I understand,” she said. “But going into the House of Joy is a one way trip. You know it, too. Think, Silver. Think! We have to ambush Mistress Patriot between the club and her home.”

“Um,” Silver Angel grunted. “Home. Jade Manor. Been there, almost didn’t get back out. Justice Star and Omega Girl went with me, and we all… It’s didn’t go well. Leave it at that.”

Uber Woman nodded. She’d spoken with Omega Girl so knew exactly how it all shook out.

“Maybe we’re going about it the wrong way,” Uber Woman said, staring off into space and considering all she’d learned since Ms Patriot’s capture, brainwashing, and rise as a villain. “We all know now that Ms Patriot was, and is, Jennifer Jade. She lives at Jade Manor. Therefore, the Patriot Cave has to be under Jade Manor.”

Silver Angel perked up. “Yes! I’ve heard that she turned the Patriot Cave into a BDSM dungeon to break and brainwash super heroines. And anyone else she captures. So she probably takes Silver Girl and Patriot Girl down there after work every night. I heard that is where she keeps her slavegirls locked up.”

“I heard that, too,” Uber Woman said, frowning. “I think she will drop her guard once inside Jade Manor, and especially down in the Patriot Cave.”

“Yes. That makes it the perfect place to ambush her.”

“Problem is getting into the Patriot Cave,” Uber Woman said.

“I can get into the Patriot Cave through Jennifer’s closet, but the problem is getting inside without being detected,” Silver Angel said. “She’s increased her security tenfold, including men with Bliss Blasters.”

“There has to be more than one way inside,” she said. “After all, she doesn’t drive her Patriot Mobile through the bedroom.”

“You could follow her home since you can fly, but she never uses the Patriot Mobile anymore.”

Silver Angel frowned, squirmed. “Well, there might be one person. An informant. His info is usually spot on.” She grimaced. “He messaged me this morning. Saying he had something I might want to hear.”

“Great! Let’s go speak to him.”

“Um, it’s the Toad.”

“Oh. Oh. Yeah… No.”

Just the thought of the Toad made her heart race. She’d heard horror stories about him. Real name Willard Aimes, he was an ex-con. His crime of choice was human trafficking. Mostly, he kidnapped coeds and sold them to pimps. Ms Patriot ended his criminal career five years back, but he only served one year in prison. That was thanks to the fact he was fabulously rich, so could afford the best lawyers. Even so, all indications were that he went straight after prison. Since getting out he had owned a series of strip clubs, most rather seedy.

“I know. I’ve gotten info from him before,” she said very softly. “Two years back, he had information about who’d kidnapped the mayor’s daughter. I… I was desperate, so submitted to his…um…price.”

“Oh no.”

“Oh yes. He is as ugly inside as he is outside,” she said, looking sick. “I had to pole dance. Topless, in the club he owned at the time. Don’t recall it’s name. Burnt down. Anyway, after I was thoroughly humiliated and broken down, the Toad molested me, and then fucked me. But he told me where to find the mayor’s daughter. So… Worth it?”

“Wow. I knew Ms Patriot used to use him for info…”

“You mean he used her,” Silver Angel whispered. “But I understand. I heard that, too. And his info let her make some of the biggest busts in Grimme City’s history.”

“Not sure it’s worth it,” Uber Woman said.

Silver Angel nodded. “I understand. You don’t have to deal with him. I’ll do it.”

“Are you crazy?”

“I’m sorry, but I’m that desperate. I have to save my protégé.”

“Fine. I’ll go with you. Two against one is better odds,” she said, feeling a little light-headed just at the prospect. “Maybe we can intimidate him, and then pool our money to pay him enough to just tell us what we need to know.”

“Maybe. I’m pretty rich,” Silver Angel said. “Not to brag, or anything.”

“I suspected as much,” she said. “Let’s just do it. Now. Before I chicken out.”
