Chapter 7
“Finally!” Ms Virtue whispered, a good hundred feet above Ariana’s cherry red Escalade. “It’s been a long day and night.”
The Escalade turned into High Tower’s underground parking. The blonde heroine swooped down, following them in. She kept her distance. Ariana was not on-board with her protection. So she had to defend the actress from afar with no help from Ariana or her security people.
She wanted to call the twenty year old sex kitten a spoiled brat, which was accurate. But Ms Virtue was only five years older, so still cringed when anyone referred to an adult woman as a brat. But sometimes it was a spot on assessment.
The gorgeous blonde actress slipped out with the help of a security man. Her blonde locks were teased up for a night of clubbing, with her signature bright red lips and nails almost beaming. She wore a purple, off-the-shoulder tube dress that was half-again too tight, not to mention too thin. Nothing was left to the imagination, since she couldn’t wear underwear with that outfit.
She could be a super heroine with that body, she thought.
Ariana gave her a sharp look, lip curling. But the actress said nothing, just striding into the waiting elevator and suddenly Ms Virtue was alone in the garage. She sagged just a little, blowing out a breath. Almost time to go home.
Just one last check to ensure she gets safely home. Then I’ll let her security handle it until tomorrow.
Ms Virtue flew out of the garage in a flash, rising up the side of the high rise until she reached Ariana’s luxury condo. It was a big one, too. Three times bigger than her house. While it wasn’t the top floor, the building referred to it as a penthouse.
The heroine reached the condo first, hovering outside until she saw the lights snap on. A second later, she spotted Ariana and her PAs enter the living room. The actress kicked off her stiletto pumps, and was about to plop down on the couch as Ms Virtue started flying backwards and away.
Men in all black, faces hidden behind masks, rushed out. Ms Virtue stopped, jaw dropping as Ariana and both assistants were chloroformed into la la land. Where was her security? Didn’t matter.
Ms Virtue flew straight to the condo’s huge balcony, found the slider unlocked, and rushed inside to shouts of alarm from the kidnappers. Yeah, they started jabbering at each other in Russian. She heard a female voice among the four.
“Halt!” Ms Virtue screamed. “Security!”
She heard male cries of alarm deeper inside. The kidnappers pulled out pistols, and one of them started shooting at the heroine. She surged into him, using her power of flight, to body-check him into the wall, before kicking him in the face.
He was out of the fight.
Ms Virtue jumped up and flew at the man holding a cloth over Ariana’s mouth and nose. The actress wasn’t completely unconscious yet, but she wasn’t feeling any pain or concern. Neither were her PAs. The kidnapper holding the actress shoved her away, displaying an impressive set of boobs under her tight black shirt. The Russian woman proved she was no coward by charging straight at the heroine.
They crashed together with a meaty thunk and grunt. Ms Virtue proved stronger and faster, delivering two punches to the face, and one to the belly, before the other woman could strike back. But then a large, powerfully built man smashed into them. Another swept the woozy woman up and turned to leave. But the two massively built bodyguards came charging in with pistols in hand.
Gunfire erupted as everyone scattered.
Ms Virtue screamed. “Cease fire!”
They did not stop shooting at each other. So she swept Ariana up and flew her into another room, then did the same for the two limp PAs. By that time the Russians had fought their way past the bodyguards, and were gone. Neither of the bodyguards looked injured.
“Take care of Ariana and the others,” she called, flying back to the balcony. “I’m going after the kidnappers.”
She didn’t know if they took an elevator, or the stairs, but there was no helicopter on the roof. So that meant they had to go down, and then leave by car. So she flew up above the high rise, and scanned the front and back. The front of the building was well lit, with security and doormen. The back was pitch black, so she shifted that way. Squinting, she just made out a black van.
Ms Virtue smiled when four black-clad figures rushed out of the back door and into the van. It burned rubber getting out of there.
“Perfect. Take me home, boys,” she whispered. “Take me to the other four women you’ve kidnapped.”
The blonde heroine pulled her phone and checked the heroine’s secure network. None of the other heroines were logged in. So she sent an alert, requesting assistance. Considering it was almost three in the morning, it would take them a bit to wake up, suit up, and come flying over.
“I’ll have GPS coordinates for them by then.”
