I think this could be fun! Like a little mini-book club 🤩

Lesley Jones

I am so excited, I’m definitely going to join in!

Love this! I live in a small town and my local library has a book club, I was apart of it for a short time before it became uncomfortable for me. So personally this is great!

Sounds like something I would like, I'll have to buy it next :3

Kevin Richardson

Have you ever read anything from Hunter s Thompson? They made a few movies based of his books. He's definitely one of my favorite authors. I recommend giving him a read.

Scarlet Kistner

Love this!! I have too many books I’ve read kept inside my head lol

FunkyFrogBait

No I haven't! What would you recommend starting with of his books?

Kevin Richardson

Hells angels is a good one. It's my favorite. But Fear and loathing in Las Vegas is the most popular one tho.

I love this, more book reviews please! I'm a fantasy lover, especially fantasy books that are diverse/inclusive. I know Project Hail Mary is more on the sci-fi side rather than fantasy. One sci-fi book I'm really looking forward to reading is The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers.

Have you finished Dorian Gray yet? That’s one on my list to read. I like these though, keep them uo

I loved this book review and I would love to see more ☺️💕🥰 You always have such a wonderful way with telling stories!

I’ve read The Martian, project Hail Mary and Artemis. Hail Mary isn’t my favourite, but I give it a 7/10. I’m a microbiologist, so I enjoyed that aspect of it. It got a little repetitive, I didn’t love the main character (I found him boring) and the ending was…. Ok. I think the Martian is better science and scientific method is better. Artemis is a lot of fun and more of action book with science.

Peta

Oh, you think he can’t write these characters, read Artemis and see how he writes a female character…. I don’t think he knows any women.

I love this idea! I have a goal of reading more this year, so this is perfect!

Jazz Hands! I am a fan of Andy Weir's books and found this one to be a lot of fun. I specifically enjoy the scientific problem solving involved in all of his books; How he brakes down the design of the and the execution of the experiments. The set up to this story reminded me a lot of Chernobyl (The mini series based on real events), where scientist where working frantically to gauge the severity of the problem. I wont go much into spoilers, but my favorite part of this book is his relationship with Rocky. Also, your criticism of how he writes his characters is 100% valid. He seems to be more interested in explaining the science than writing compelling human interactions. Even in Artemis, his lead protagonist is more of a loner, meaning she has more inner monologue rather than conversational dialogue. The human characters are simply a vehicle to talk or facilitate science. Despite that, his books are still a very fun read.

This was really awesome I had similar thoughts but you expanded on them so well I loved this. I hope you have a review of the movie now that it’s outttt
