Look back at Episode 17 (Patreon)

Hi folks,Just a quick update to say thanks a lot for all of the patience waiting for episode 17.    We got there in the end. Based on where we were a couple of months ago, I'm reasonably happy with how it turned out.  But there are a couple of things that are bugging me, so I plan on releasing a patch very soon.    *****Spoiler below - Don't read if you haven't played episode 17**********The patch will fix a few minor issues such as typos, etc. plus one continuity error (if you did not have sex with Jolina in Ep16 there is a possibility, depending on other decisions, Jenna talks like you did.). Other than these few lines of dialog, this continuity error won't effect any other part of the episode or game but I would still like to fix it.I also want to extend the Elaine scene slightly as I felt it was rushed.  Just a minor extension for one or two of the paths. And we have changed a couple of the anims.  They won't look any different but they will just run smoother on some lower spec PCs. We also want to add a feature to allow you to jump in at any episode and pick your starting scenario (e.g. who you're romancing, what decisions you've made, etc.).  This will allow you to try out other routes without starting all the way back at Episode 1.  This will cover the "custom save" option that I wanted to add (and that a few of you have asked for).The patch will be a small download size (will just need to download a few edited files) so it won't require another massive download.  However if you are happy with your Episode 17 experience, then there is no need to install the patch.  A replay isn't necessary  and it won't effect Episode 18 or stats, etc. if you don't install / play this patch.  It's just for those that want a completely polished experience or if you experienced some of the issues mentioned above.  So if you're happy to wait for Episode 18 (where these changes will also be incorporated) then no need to download the patch.Hopefully the patch will be ready this weekend.  And don't worry, the work on this patch isn't holding up Episode 18.   Work on episode 18 started before we even finished Ep17 and we rolled straight into continuing work on Episode 18 and are making good progress (but obviously very early days at the moment.)  All four of us are working on Ep18 and Phalzyr  (honorary staff member #5) is also back behind the scenes with us to work on the GUI options and the custom save option.And lastly - Don't panic about the "Choose a girl" option that I gave in Episode 17 (during the Elaine scene).  This is not a final decision and isn't setting you up for a "one-girl from now on" scenario.   I just wanted to add a variable that tracks who your favoured two girls are to make some future dialog  /scenarios feel a bit more customized to your MC.   I probably didn't execute it very well so I know it caused some alarm with a few players who felt that this was a major decision.  It's not!  It's just the MC sitting in the car and thinking about shit and which girl(s) he currently favours.Please let me know if you have any feedback about Episode 17.  Things you liked, things you didn't, favourite scene, least favourite, etc.  Feel free to post in the comments below or send me a private message.Thanks,CG & Team.
