Here are some recent sketches. I'm not sure they reflect an entirely satisfied mind, but they all made me laugh.

First up, Meat Men. These guys will sell you a box of meat in a pub car park, any time.

Second, Dilbert. With Scott Adams gone, he doesn't know what he's going to do, but it's going to be intensely chivalrous (I'd been reading about the history of "Love Is" that day. Sadder than you think). He's got to do a lot of apologising, I know that.

Then my good friend Marc in his new series, Ellerbuddies. I can't wait to read issue 1! There is no issue 1.

There follows a spot illustration of a famous man.

On a cheerier note, a quick sketch I did for Max Sarin's birthday. Honking and jingling are always the order of the day.

The denser pages are two drawings I did while sorting Murder She Writes out for a reprint that I am not sure is happening any more. Nothing is wasted, of course. Fun to revisit this comic in my warm-up exercises.

Then my favourite phone doodle ever. Our Hero.

Following that, what I consider the perfect dating app profile pic.

Then Shelley Winters, in musical mode. Elsewhere on this page, in large letters, was written the word "EXPERTISE". But I can't remember why.

And finally, a tribute to the returning TFI Friday. Chris Evans and Shaun Ryder. I have drawn exactly what it will be like, so no one has to watch it.

Something for everybody, satisfying nobody!

Wish that guy on the Ellerbuddies cover would duck a little, can’t see teacher’s feet!

Brian Tatosky

So much energy in these. Love when you share 'em!

WJC

All gold. And meat gold.

Luke Drotos

What made you decide against a MSW reissue?

scarygoround

I think the Meat Men are my favourite creation in some time.

Peter S

it may be due to the looser drawing but the self portrait in particular reminds me of the work of Quentin Blake, particularly his drawings for the Uncle books by J.P. Martin

scarygoround

I have probably said this before, here or elsewhere, but I borrowed Uncle from the library so many times as a child (endless renewals) that they wouldn't let me borrow it again.

Jack

That is *exactly* what TFI Friday will be like, perfect, no notes.

Nathan Myers

"I weighed Posh Spice on TV". Hmm.

Andrew McCarron

I get all the meat I need from our local meat raffle, Silas. Leave me be.

Andrea Burgess

Thank you for quashing the (admittedly tiny) bit of curiosity I had about TFIFriRedux. You've saved me from myself AND Chris "oh, *that* one" Evans. In other TV thoughts: Meat Men needs optioning as a British counterpart to "The Bear".

Rimbo (he-him)

Oh man. These are WONDERFUL. So good.

Rimbo (he-him)

i'm guessing that's a feature and not a bug :D

John C. Kirk

The “Our Hero” sketch reminds me of the old Molesworth books. I’m not sure why (maybe the text on the left?) but it has the same vibe.

Jon Sibley

I hope you decide to go ahead with the Murder She Writes reissue John. I was really very much looking forward to it

Tudza

Wonder what a "The thing is" comic would look like.

Elizabeth

I originally thought the Meat Men was for a calendar

Paul Robertson

Getting major Pat Mustard vibes from Silas. I sense very hairy babies in his future and many, MANY deeply unsubtle meat-based double entendres

William Cole

I am finding Our Hero strangely compelling. I want to know his life story.

Nick Gibbins

Exactly my first thought too.

Andi Watson

A) wtf! B) you were a child of taste and discernment. I read dozens of Hardy Boys mysteries which are identical stories with different covers. Uncle was a joy I stumbled upon much later in life.

scarygoround

Andi, I was definitely a reader of mad books. Just William was my favourite. I didn't read all of them because they eventually waned. I then moved on to PG Wodehouse. Having completely destroyed my mind for life in the late 20th century, I read every Poirot and Miss Marple.

Jeremy Impson

Simply the "Breast" had me giggling silently but otherwise uncontrollably in my diner counter seat.

Nathan Myers

"NADIR" is particularly useful in Wordle.
