I designed a couple of limited edition coffee mugs for NY coffee shop Cafe Grumpy (as seen in HBO's 'Girls') back in the day. While looking for something unrelated today, I found the art for a tote bag I designed for them in 2015. I have absolutely no memory of making this. The tote was never produced.

I didn't know this! Now I want a mug!

I love these drawings! If I drank coffee (and lived in NYC), I expect they'd have persuaded me.

I had a lovely Grumpy Cafe yellow duck mug til one day it got smashed. Very sad day that.

With 100% seriousness, this is the Allison esoterica I pay my Patreon monies for.

Those are maybe my favourite piece of merchandise I've ever made. I kept two for myself, broke one, and the other is at my mum and dad's for ceremonial use on visits.

I love the angry insect, able to put their hands on their hips while gesticulating and holding a disappointing cup of coffee.

Any chance of a mug pic as well? Google is coming up blank.

I don't have a photos of it, or the original artwork. They were never shared online, you could just buy them in the cafes.

Jeff

Agreed!

Their loss! They make a good coffee though.
